Date: 10.17.10 Preacher: Kris Martens Title: Signs & Stands | Luke 21:5-38 Few areas of theology elicit more intrigue, passion and controversy than that of the end times (eschatology). In Jesus' final conversation before his Last Supper, He goes big - reminding his followers of His end-time prophecies while inspiring never-ending Christian-fiction series. Specifically, we know that the Temple and Jerusalem will be destroyed, that there will be tremendous signs in the heavens & on the earth, and that the Lord will indeed return in Glory. Remarkable detail is given in relation to persecution, causing many to speculate on timelines, world events & the end times. Yet all we can truly be confident of are these: Jesus will return. None of us know when. We'll all meet Him. It would be good to be ready.
