During one year, this comes out to more than 10 million women and men. How does this relate to health care and what can you do if you’re in that situation or have a loved one in an abusive relationship? Poorvanshi Alag, M.D., is an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry and an addiction psychiatrist. She talks to us about the link between an abusive relationship and addiction, the signs of an abusive relationship and what we can do to help victims of abuse.
