Well, we got a lot to talk about I know it's silent hill. I can't you quiet about it anymore Just want to scream it from the mountaintops it silent it all right? Let me play the music before we start talking about this damn it ralda tough tough tough tough tough tough their vocal warm-ups Silent vocal warmups Shih shih shih shih shih shih shh welcome to Play me play me presented by Kingie a King me podcast production It's our sort of journey through the various levels. The gigabytes, the megabytes.

Chips and routers and loads of ones. Hello, boysticks and joysticks. This is the time to start working out the intro. Boysticks.

Yeah. Yeah, you heard me. Boys and what's up? Joysticks and controller ports.

Oh shit. Sort of genitalizing things, I guess. Sure. I don't like that at all.

Anyway, welcome to the show. Welcome. Dan, this is the worst intro. No, it's going great.

Anyway, this is Play Me where we're gallivanting for the rich history of video game film adaptations. This week on the show, Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Level 5, Silent Hill. That's right. 2006.

2006. Rob? Yeah. Don't look now, but there's a pyramid head right behind you.

Oh, God. Watch it. Watch it. Protect your neck.

It's all over. Somebody online say something to the effect of cool to see Adam Driver in an early role. About the pyramid head guy. Oh, because of his huge nose.

Because of his huge nose. Yeah, like his pointy nose. I imagine too, his buff body. He doesn't read as buff.

Adam Driver. He's not ripped, but he's pretty buff. Yeah. He reads as like, I don't know, like.

Adam Driver is the closest thing we have to like what we were talking about, like a fucking. You're a looking guy. Weird looking Charles Bronson, he kind of guy. A guy who was actually in the military who could probably kick some ass, but is also a good actor.

You know? That's true. That's true. But even he, it's like there's some, there is like a cult of people who are like, that's the hottest man I've ever seen in my life.

Right. Yeah. He doesn't look like a fucking catcher's man. Hey, speaking of, speaking of cults and people with pyramid shaped heads, whether due to the size of their nose or the cage on it.

Yeah. Silent Hill, of course. We're talking Silent Hill. We're talking Silent Hill.

We're talking Silent Hill. No, we're talking about the Silent Hill. These are first foray into horror. I think also are less foray into horror.

I mean, like for this run, Resident Evil is, come on. I know that the movie is not necessarily, but they're trying to be a horror movie. It is. It's not scary.

It's not effective as a horror movie. It's more of like a horror action movie. Yeah. They're really punching the clock on the horror aspect of it by having a little girl go, you're all going to die down here.

Didn't you think that was going to happen again with this little girl? The whole time I'm waiting for it to be like, you're, oh, they're going to die down here. You'll go to die down here. Shower.

That kind of sound like Sharon. Did. Oh, see. You know, I, there are a couple really respectable fake outs where it's like a lady with long hair, a girl or a lady facing away from the camera.

Sure. Just sort of huddled in the corner and you're expecting like that large, large face. Yeah. Never get a large, large face.

We never get. We never get. It's always just like, hello. It's just like somebody.

Yeah. It's just like the other guy. It's just person. It's whatever.

Did you like when, and we'll talk more about it, but on the subject of pyramid head while he's fresh on my mind? Sure. Did you like when he ripped that lady's whole skin off? It was pretty awesome.

That was crazy, man. Yeah. That was wild shit. Yeah.

You know, as even that, I'm like, I think I rated this too. I want my personal letterbox. Yeah. Which I do.

I think the first half of this movie is so slow. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. And I don't love the way that all the exposition is delivered.

All kind of like. You didn't like the again scene at the end. Welcome to, congratulations. You made it to the final level.

Yeah. All of that. So my rating is not super high, but I think there's definitely some fun shit here. It's like, it feels on par with like a, maybe like Resident Evil.

It's more ambitious than Resident Evil. I got to give it credit for that. Yeah. But it's definitely trying to do something more with the.

Which makes sense because like Silent Hill, the game is trying to do something more. Resident Evil is just like, your name is Jill Valentine. You're wearing fingerless gloves. Then you defeat the zombie horde.

Skirt? Short. Go on. Well, Jill's like not, right?

She's like the one wearing like the blue shirt. Yeah, but she's wearing like, she's like tactical. Yeah. She's wearing like, in my head she's dressed sort of like, I bet.

I bet. In your head? Yeah. Well, buddy, you don't want to spend a day inside my head, all right?

Well, I mentioned it because people had a problem with Mio Jovavitch's character, right? It's like they got rid of Jill in favor of Alice, the most beautiful woman you've ever seen. But basically wearing like a nightgown and combat boots. Yeah.

It's kind of an evening cocktail dress, kind of a thing throughout. Yeah. Anyway, but look, we've said all there is to say about Resident Evil. Yeah, we can't say anything.

That gets caught in cubes. Right. It's the best part. It's the best part of the movie.

Medium dice and we're done. Yeah. Rob, have you, what's your familiarity with the video game series Silent Hill? I just know it as like a horror video game.

I never played it. This was like, I don't know, once like 2000, like 2001, two, like that, like I'm pretty out on most of the video games. I have to be like, it has to be so dumb that it's like a passive thing. I don't want to like solve puzzles or anything.

It's like very stupid. What I want to do with video games, you know. You want to play bubble, bubble? Kind of.

Yeah. I want to like, where's that movie? I was playing like Call of Duty, whereas, you know, shooting, whatever, whoever, you know, I was desensitizing myself to the violence that I would see. Were you like, you're playing, you're like, damn, I should be in the military.

Yeah, I was like, damn, I should fucking show her that flight drones. Yeah. And besides that, I was like, I don't know. It's just not, it wasn't for me.

It's like too scary. I mean, that too. Like that was the other thing is like, I did play some of the Resident Evil games, which are fun, but they are scary and they, they're effective too because you're so invested in it. Like you're living in it, right?

You're controlling the guy. You're so focused on it. And then, ah, something jumps out of you. That is something I think this movie for all its faults really gets about the experience of playing the game is that like, you just got to be walking around for a while.

Yeah. You got to do some walking around. Yeah. This really feels like a video game movie.

Yes. Yeah. We all so far, most of these movies we've watched, they feel like the video games, but this one really is just like, from what I know about Silent Hill, it is like this super atmospheric world. It's a ton of walking around and you're picking up like artifacts along the way and like, solving puzzles and there's a pyramid head and.

There is a damn pyramid head. Some sexy nurses, if you ask me, but. Okay. Look, I know you're joking.

Oh, do you? I was surprised that they were all things considered. So sexy. Grading on the curve of them being in hell.

Right. As far as nurses go, hell nurses. Hell, yeah. This isn't Hello nurse.

This is hell nurse. No, I mean, they're like, I think like, they are baddies. They're all baddies. I think it's all winter baddies.

Oh, well, aren't you an ally? I'm being smug. I think this is like a popular costume to like for cosplayers and stuff is like, yeah, cause there's this yeah, well costumes in general from this game, like you see a lot of pyramid heads, but also the nurses, the nurses are like kind of a staple of the game and like very recognizable. What if the only way to stop them was to bang pots and pans for them?

Yeah, I mean, that's, I mean, it's not that far off was was it just turned off the flashlight? It was just kind of the way to get around them. Yeah, set it down and they all go walk over to it. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. So Silent Hill directed by. Christoph guns.

Christoph, of course. Christoph a French guy. What can you, what can you tell me about him? At least French.

He made that movie Brotherhood of the Wolf, which I did see. Star in our boys. Surprise surprise. This cuscus.

Hey, should we watch that for a double feature? Yeah, we just do a get real duscuscus. Oh, Mark Duscuscus. That's what we can call our Mark Duscuscus series.

Duscuscus. Mark disgusting. Well, it's a Vincent, it's a bunch of people, whatever. I just read it's like a French movie and there are maybe werewolves in it, but whatever.

Literally whatever. Yeah, yeah. Well, he hasn't made a lot either. No, no, yeah.

Let's just step up the game, man. What do you do? Pull it together. Yeah.

I did, I looked at it. I was like, oh, he's dead, right? And then I checked his Wikipedia page. He's not dead.

Not dead. Christoph guns. IMGB, first line, not dead. Not dead.

Not dead yet. Written by Roger Avery. Okay. Now here's the name I've heard before.

Roger Avery, a guy. One of the writers on Pulp Fiction, Resibro Dogs, wrote, interrupted, killing Zoe or Zoe. I'm adding that to the end of that episode, by the way. Good.

Good, good, good. And now the middle of this one. Yes. Sorry.

Please repeat everything you just said about Roger. I wasn't listening. I was trying to find an E. Oh, co-wrote Pulp Fiction and Resibro Dogs with, let me see here.

Quentin Tarantino. And I just looked him up on Wickey Feet and he's definitely not dead. He's a, looks like he's an active commenter. Imagine if Wickey Feet had pages also for, like, notable enthusiasm.

Like, notable enthusiasm. And he's a, yes. Patrons of the art. What else?

Oh, he, he directed to, right? Maybe one of the writers on Rules of Attraction, which is a Bred Easton Ellis book. It's only, that's a movie that comes out like a little bit after American Psycho and has, like, a small, the main character is Patrick Bateman's brother, who's at college. Really?

Who is also played by James Vanderbeek. Beek? Yeah, I think. Beek.

The beek from the creek. I'm not sure if you're going to remember it. Yeah. And it is like, and he's a sociopath.

I remember being like a fun, not fun, but like an interesting movie, an interesting watch. Told film a bunch of different perspectives. Uh, a Rashomon. That's, oh, that's always what I think of when I hear about that.

Have you seen Rashomon? Nah. Nah, I just know it. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.

I've heard enough people talk about it. So, yeah, what else? Like, killed a person. Man slaughtered a person.

That's right. Yes. That factors into this somehow. He was going to return for Qui-Gul, and then he couldn't because he was in jail.

Yeah. Now, Dan, do you know anything about this backstory? I don't. So, it was a drunk driving accident.

He crashes the car. His passenger dies, right? He, you know, he's charged with manslaughter, whatever. Initially, he pleads not guilty.

Then after like nine months or so, pleads guilty. Goes to, he's like, it's basically like a, almost like a work furlough kind of a thing where for eight hours a day or so, he's allowed to be out and about and work. And do things, but he has to report back to the holding facility, whatever kind of prison detention thing that he stays at. Yeah.

That Hollywood guys go to. Yeah, that Hollywood guys go to. And then like probation and shit like that. While this is going on, he is tweeting things.

And he tweets just like about the goings on in the prison that he has to stay at some other stuff about like, oh, they're trying to silence. He starts calling himself number, I want to say 34 because that's his prison number. Oh, my God. Yes.

I'm putting it out there right now. I'm not a fan of this guy. All right. And I, the podcast, the Tarantino, the video archives podcast, it's him and Quentin Tarantino talking about these old movies.

Ellison, absolutely every episode, but I do find him to be somewhat grating and all of this shit. Right. So he starts calling himself number 34. He's like, looks like they're trying to, or looks like number 34 isn't, you know, doing this because he was practicing his first amendment rights or some shit like, you know, like just all of this sort of like body.

Yes. So then after all of these tweets or whatever, he's like, you know, I don't know. It's the judge or whatever. The judge is like, Nope, not going to have it.

Now you are going to jail. So then he has to go to real prison. Real, you know, and he's in prison for not, not super long, but like long enough. Yeah, it's a year or two years, whatever.

Yeah. Enough. Pretty long time for a guy like this. Totally.

Prison, I would think. Yes. So, so yes, he wasn't able to participate in Silent Hill to what could have been, huh? What could have been maybe that one could have been two and a half hours long.

Yeah. Yeah. They worked out the kinks. So I had a bad feeling about this guy even before I knew all that.

And I was, you know, the tip of the iceberg of my research is to look at the Wikipedia. Yeah. It's also the base of the iceberg. Yeah, this is the sky.

But some pretty damning, you know, they put like photos of people involved on the Wikipedia page. There's one of Chris off Gansam, one of Roger Avery and the caption for each is like truly the most damning thing in terms of like what you're in for with this movie, I think. So it's a picture of Roger Avery looking like a looking like Pete Holmes. Yeah.

And I wanted to say something like that about somebody I don't even know personally. Yeah. It says Roger Avery wrote the script word by word while playing the game. Cool.

I don't care. That's nothing. That's actually not good at all to do. And then Chris off Gansam, it says that he claimed he had created a new type of horror film, which is also bad.

That's something a liar and like a charlatan and a fraud says. Yeah. Yeah. Of course.

Also, shocking considering how like mostly very conventional this is in terms of like the tone and the storytelling. Well, that's so like you read about this like the making of and whatever, right? And there's you know, this available on Wikipedia, but there's like a citation or whatever. But the people pushing this producers, whatever, they reach out to Roger Avery and they're like, you know, we want to make this movie.

What do you think? And he's like, well, you know, he's got strong pain. He's like, you got to, you know, you have to capture the essence of the game, right? It's not you have to like basically dissect the game completely and then reassemble it into a movie.

You're leaving things on the floor, but then you're adding things to make it like somewhat different from the game. It's all this shit, right? I mean, that's like not wrong. No, no, I agree.

I think that's probably the right way to handle most of this stuff is like you can't follow the game because that's a game. It's not the same medium. It's not going to translate well. That's like part of the problem with the genre is that too many people are like so close to it.

But then you're, you know, you're, it's sort of like, it's a real tightrope that you're like, I have to make this movie about a video game and it can't feel like a video game. So I have to make a movie based on a video game that people have a strong connection to and need to like some things have to be represented there. Some things have to feel like the game like all of this stuff. There are a couple of shots that feel like video game camera movements, you know, they're like POV shots or whatever that really feel like, oh, this is like, this feels like it was just cut directly out of the video game.

But whatever. So we writes the script and they make this movie starring what's her name, Radha Mitchell. I, she was in that movie, Pitch Black Vin Diesel movie 2000. You ever see that?

Damn. They could have called parts of this movie, Pitch Black. I have not seen Pitch Black. That's the first Riddick movie.

Yes. Yes. Have you ever read the Chronicles? Have you ever dipped in or what?

I have not, I have not dipped into into into Lake Riddick. Yeah. No, I haven't. I don't need that.

I don't think. Oh, I think it's good. I disagree. I think it's, I mean, it's, I think you do need that.

It's Vin Diesel, man. This is like, this is the one that's like his beloved passion project, right? He's like, I got this cool idea. I'm Riddick.

Yeah. I mean, yeah. It's, what if I was Riddick? Vin Diesel, a big D&D guy, right?

Can't spell Riddick without D and D. It's true. Right. But he like, he created this character Riddick and then he, he, which the first movie, Pitch Black is small.

It's like a small budget sort of sci-fi horror movie, whatever. And then like, then he takes that and he spins it out and he's like the Chronicles of Riddick, which just blows up the world into this sort of not quite Star Wars, but like, you know, it starts getting Game of Thronesy where it's like all about, you know, there's their Monarchies and colonialism. There's all this other shit going on. Well, it's, and like, I think I was like pretty young when those came out.

So it's like, I maybe miss this, but it sounds like for him to have done that the public must have been like beating his doors down demanding this, this expansion of the universe. But nobody was asking for it. And then he made a third one just called Riddick, which is much, it's much more like the, the first one, Pitch Black, where it's like Riddick on a planet, like that he just has to sort of survive. And then there are other guys involved, whatever.

So Pitch Black comes out in 2000. Yes. Does no one like knows who he is at that point, right? Fasten the Furious doesn't come out until the following year.

Is that right? Yes. Okay. So yeah, he's like, you know, he's probably been in like a couple of things.

This is fascinating. He's like, he's like, boiler room is maybe around the same time. Oh, right. Okay.

But he's not, he's like one of the characters in that he's not like a, you know, he's not like the guy. And this was released in February of 2000. So absolutely nobody saw this. Talking about much black.

Pitch Black. I'll tell you what, who, I'll tell you one guy who saw it. You boy. My point, my point is that like each time a sequel to this is released, he has gotten more famous by an order of magnitudes.

Yes. Yes. And so, you know, people are like, Oh, he's probably using his own cache to make a movie. Make a critic movies and it's like, people are like, Oh, cool.

New Vin Diesel franchise. I guess I'll just, I'll get it on the ground floor of this and then you learn that you're actually on the third one. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. This one. Yeah. It's for the real heads.

So Radha Mitchell, she's in that movie. She's one of the characters. It's, I think it's a fun role. It's like, it's similar to like a, it's, you know, it's sci-fi horror movie.

They're going for like a Sigourney Weaver alien sort of thing, which doesn't quite happen, but maybe that's our double feature. Can't rule it out, right? A Rata double. A Rata double.

So we got Rata. Rata plays Rose de Silva. Yes. Silent Hill.

She's our protagonist. Married to Sean Bean. Not in real life. No, no.

In the movie. Sean Bean doing an American accent. Rose, I'm coming to Silent Hill to come find you. Rose, Rose, Rose, Rose.

I'm a guy. Yeah. So interesting. His character was an afterthought.

Could you tell? Shocking. The original script had no him. It was just, it was allegedly Rose and Sible is Sible the cop.

Sible is the cop. And when you say it had no him, I'm going to tell you, Dan, this movie has almost no hymns at all. That's right. Because they're all, I would say most, most of our main characters, protagonist and antagonist are women.

Is this movie passes the back-to-the-test and the Chica test? I was just going to call it the Chica test. Which is a sort of similar test that I've invented. Yeah, yeah.

I guess we've invented. Since we were both thinking it. Yeah. No, it passes the Chica test.

Our Chica. Dan and Rob's Chica test. Trademark copyright. All rights reserved.

What are the rules for the Chica test? It has a couple Chica's in it. It's got a couple Chica's in it. And they have to talk about, I guess, I guess.

They have to talk about another Chica. They have to either talk about another Chica or experience being Chicas themselves. So yeah, this passes with flying players. This passes with Chica's test.

Yeah. So the original had no Christopher de Silva, no Sean Bean. And I guess the producers were like, we're just not going to make a movie about women. Yeah.

We'll throw in Sean Bean just like a fucking lost dog. No idea what's going on the entire time. His whole quest to figure out what's up in the town doesn't matter anyway in terms of like the narrative. It goes nowhere.

It goes nowhere. And the girl just explains everything at the end anyway. Right. Right.

So it's like he did not need to break into the records office of that town called Brahms. Brahms the boy, Virginia. That's like how there's a town called Chevy Chase in Maryland. Yes.

Brahms the boy grew up in Brahms the boy. Now, this movie does it drags a bit. It feels a little slow in parts. Is it completely fixed if they cut if we just cut out all of the Sean Bean stuff?

No, no, definitely not because so much of the dragging is just like them wandering around. Yelling Sharon. Yelling Sharon. And by them, I mean, mostly rose, but sippled to you a little bit.

She just like walk into a place and see something scary and she screams at the top of her lungs. Yeah. And then runs away and it's cool. And that's it.

And then on to the next level. Yes. Yeah. So it's not just Sean, honestly, like at least with the Sean Bean stuff, you're like, this guy might figure it out.

He might tell me something. Yeah, I trust this guy. I don't know what he's whinnying to. I don't know about these.

I also think it's funny that it's constantly like pouring rain on him. Yes. Right. The hardest rain you've ever seen.

It looks like it feels so good though. Yeah. Doesn't it? I love when he pulls his collar up.

Just buckets of water being dumped on him. Yeah. And then in that last thing, there's no water. The sun is clearly shining.

Ah, yes. But wait, but wifey and daughter are trapped in the spirit boiled. Yeah. In the upside down, is it just the upside down?

It's a bit the upside down. Right. The upside down is a bit of Silent Hill. Like this alternative to mention that's kind of the same, but it's much worse.

Well, that actually makes sense because I don't know if you know about this, but the Duffer Brothers are huge pop culture fans. Are they? Incorporated in element of this actually makes a lot of sense. I don't know.

I don't know. Duffer Brothers. The Duffer Brothers. We made a TV show.

Wouldn't it be cool if all our favorite characters was on TV show? Yeah. Oh, my duff, duff, duff, duff. You hold the camera.

I'll write the script and crayon. The Duffer Brothers. The Duffer Brothers, of course. They dress the same.

Yeah. Obviously, obviously their mom just buys through of every outfit. They're not twins. Yeah.

No, no. Six years apart. It's like one of the situations where it's like tall, skinny, short fat, but villainous, both villainous. All right, boys.

Have a fun day on set. Oh, we will. We will. No craft services for us.

Mom made a bag of a bag of lunch. All right. We also got was her name, Lori Holden, King alum, Dan. King alum, Lori Holden.

That's right. She was in the mist. We know her from that. Of course, she makes it all the way to the end of the mist.

Spoilers for the mist, but she doesn't make it to the credits necessarily. She catches. Damn. Damn.

Just a bit of bad luck. This movie is slightly misty. It's a little misty. It's a little misty with the church.

This comes out in 06. The mist comes out in 07. Maybe there might be a connection there. I don't know.

I'm thinking this lady proved that she can act in foggy atmospheres. The producers of the mist, they're just like, get me Lori Holden. God damn it. I need someone who knows what they're doing in fog.

She knows it. Yeah, work in a fog machine. I'll tell you this though. None of this movie looks like it happened in real life.

It all looks very green-screened. It does. It looks the way that all movies look now where it's like, oh, you guys are not on a plane of existence. You don't exist in real world.

Weirdly, it was giving me the, I feel like I'm watching Sin City or something. Yeah. 300, I guess, just like that. Because it's that same time period too.

So it's the level of sort of comping in those backgrounds plus whatever camera they're using to shoot it on. It all just has this sort of nasty vibe to it. Yeah. You're right.

All right. We also got Deborah Cara Unger. Unger. Unger.

Like Felix. Like Felix. Like Felix. Like Felix.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She plays Delia.

Delia. Delia Gillespie. She plays Dahlia. Who is like, she lives in the Silent Hills.

She's like kind of spooky. She's got witchy vibes, which is not witch. The introduction of her character was very, what the fuck movie am I watching right now? Sure.

She's sort of the lady behind winkeys of this movie. Kind of. Yes. It's not at all clear what her deal is.

We need her and she's like, has anyone seen my daughter? Yeah. And Rose is like, oh, I'm also looking for my daughter. This actress though, I know we're from the Cronenberg movie Crash with the sexy car crashes.

Yes, yes, yes. Have you ever seen that one, Dan? I haven't. Maybe that's what we watch.

Maybe that's what we watch. That's a, that's such any, it's, it's, I mean, all of Cronenberg's movies, I feel like, have to deal with weird sex. What if we watch crimes of the future, right? And what's her name?

Kristen Stewart says, uh, surgery is the new sex. And she's absolutely right, by the way. And she is right. By the end of the film, she's proven right.

I think every one of his movies is blank is the new sex. Yeah. It's the, it's the thing we would say about Stephen King where it was like the haunted smoke detector. Yeah.

What if a mirror was haunted? Yeah. Looking around for things that can be haunted. Yeah.

Cronenberg's looking around for things that can. Fuck. Yeah. Fuck NSUCK.

Yeah. Give me an erection. You know, yeah. She's also, she's in a bunch of stuff though.

That's, she has a really like, I mean, she's very like pretty, but she has a unique sort of face. It's, there's something about her face that feels like kind of. Cat, yes, yes. Like very catlike.

Some people, there is like a, some people look like cats. Some people look like cats. Ron Perlman, of course, the most famous example of someone who looks like a cat. And when I say look, look like a cat, I really do mean like looks like someone in cat prosthetics.

Yeah. Not like an actual cat. No, but like somebody in cat prosthetics, right? Yeah.

And then I played the Beast on the Beauty and the Beast TV show. He showed up to work and they were like, would you already go through makeup buddy? How can we tone this down? Yeah.

We have to rain your face in. Yeah. And it's very, I feel like it's exaggerated in this because of her look, which is like, her face is just like white. It's like, yeah.

And she's got like a bunch of like, all her hair is sort of down in like, she looks, she looks like Jim Henson popping like the dark crystal or something. Yeah. You're right. Yeah.

Yeah. So paint a picture for the deer listener. Yeah. You know who else is in this?

I'm seeing here. I'm seeing here. Yeah. That's although Kim is generally a girl's name.

It can also be a boy's name. Okay. We got Kim Coates. Is Kim short for something when it's a boy's name?

Joachim maybe? Let's see. No, his name is Kim Coates. All right.

It's just a clerical error. Someone meant to spell Jim and it's one key off. That's probably what it was. Kim Coates plays officer Gucci.

Dude, when they're like, when they're talking about just like, we don't get a lot of your type down here in rural West Virginia, by the way, my name is officer Thomas Gucci. Gucci. Gucci. He's like, my father grew up in this town.

And it's like, no, he didn't. Gucci officer Thomas Gucci. Come on. He's another one.

He's part of the Sean Bean sort of storyline. And it doesn't really. He's just not going anywhere. Yeah, it doesn't go anywhere.

His big thing is like, you should probably just stay away from that town. Why don't you just keep out? He does convince him to just not not only keep out, but go all the way home. Yeah.

Go all the way home. He gives up searching for his wife and daughter because officer Thomas Gucci said too. Yeah. What about Alice Krieg?

She plays our like main villain here. We find out. First of Bella. King alum.

Damn, King alum. They keep coming. She plays the mom in sleepwalkers. Yes, she does.

Speaking of cat people, right? And what if X household object could fuck? Yeah. Not that a cat's an object per se, but what if a boy and his mother were cats and they had to fuck each other?

What if? Believe me, your reader. I don't like this anymore than you. This is just how it goes with these cat people.

Listen, these cat people need to be stopped. She also played the Borg Queen in Star Trek First Contact. I don't know if I saw that one. Me neither, but you know about the Borg.

I know about the Borg. Borg's cool. I feel like the Borg is on like the Star Trek. Borg's cool.

Borg's cool. Borg's cool. Give the Borg a pass. Come on.

Do you know what the Borg means to Gen Z? Oh, blackout rage gallon. That's correct. These kids.

When I was a kid, Borg just meant it was short for cyborg. It was something bad that could happen to you if you got infected. When I was a kid, it meant Beatle Borg, which was a short-lived Power Rangers spinoff. Beedle-themed, I guess, Borg's.

Yeah, that makes sense. Beatle Borg's was the one where the bad guy looked like Blue Jay Leno. Now you've lost me. I'm sorry.

Okay. Well, I encourage everyone to look up the character. I don't know. If you Google Beatle Borg, you'll see him right away.

If you look up the character of Beatle Borg, there's a Beatle Borg in the percoline. I just watched that. Look up a flatter from Big Bad Beatle Borg. That's the last thing I'll say about it.
