Summary: - Originally, the Naqshbandi Sufi Order was not aware of the knowledge of the Subtlety of Ana. If somebody says that there are two subtleties in the head, they may be referring to the fact that Ana is located in the forehead and the Lower Self’s influence spans the navel point all the way to the brain. - The Lower Self (which is a Satanic Jinn) reaches the brain because the height of Jinns is approximately 2.5 to 3 feet. If its feet are at the navel point, then its head will be where your head is. Therefore the Lower Self controls your intellect. - When one engages in the invocation for the Subtlety of Ana and the Lower Self is also purified, then these two subtleties are enjoined with the invocation of 'Ya Hu'. This invocation is done to make the Ana dominant over the Lower Self. The five subtleties of the chest are also enjoined with the invocation of 'Hu'.
