Silver Arrows Sweep ft. Fred Smith

from Drive To Wynn · host Drive To Wynn

On this latest episode of Drive To Wynn, host Justin Bell welcomes Fred Smith, F1 Editor at Road & Track. Fred recaps our first race of the 2026 campaign, which featured the debut of new cars & regulations. Reviews were mixed to say the least, however Fred & JB agree that the FIA plan to make tweaks along the way to get the sport closer to its roots. As for the Australian Grand Prix itself, Mercedes flexed their muscle early, sending George to both pole position and P1, while teammate Kimi Antonelli finished P2. While Ferrari seems to be our clear #2 team, things are a mixed bag further down the board with McLaren & Red Bull drivers griping about changes to the car. Despite a questionable strategy call, all race fans can agree it was great to see a rejuvenated Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari on the podium with Charles Leclerc’s P3 result.
