Simmons Shines, Defense Dominates in Season Opener | Missouri Tigers Football News

The Tigers exploded out of the gate with a 54-14 demolition of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, led by a scorching Austin Simmons—280 yards, four TDs, 17-of-19 passing—and breakout star Donovan Olugbode, who shattered a Mizzou record with eight catches for 116 yards and two scores. The air attack dominated early, while the defense stunned with six total yards allowed in the first half. But with backups stepping in and shaky offensive line play, the team’s next test against Kansas will reveal if this was just a flash or the start of something special.
