Simmons Shines in Missouri's Big Win | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri’s football team exploded onto the season with a 54-14 demolition of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, headlined by a dazzling debut from new QB Austin Simmons—a 20-year-old senior transfer from Ole Miss. In just one half, Simmons threw for 252 yards and four touchdowns on 17-of-19 completions, showcasing poise and precision while staying protected by a dominant rushing attack that racked up over 200 yards. With a tough schedule looming and quarterback injuries behind them last year, Missouri is wisely letting their strengths shine—and they’re already primed for a big showdown next Friday against Kansas in a renewed rivalry game. Ranked No. 25, the Tigers hold a slight edge in the all-time series (57-55-9) and are hungry to keep building momentum.
