Simon McGrath: Brother of murdered Michael McGrath pushes for a no body, no parole law

There's a push to introduce a no body, no parole law to New Zealand.  Former prison guard David Benbow has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum non-parole period of 17 years, for the murder of Michael McGrath.  McGrath's body has never been found since he went missing in 2017.  His brother, Simon, told John MacDonald that a no body, no parole law is needed, and offenders should only get parole if they co-operate with police.  He says given the magnitude of the crime, concealment of a body is enough to warrant such a law being introduced.  All Australian states have no body, no parole laws, with New South Wales the last to introduce it, in 2022.  LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
