Simone Wearne - a life in baseball

Simone started playing baseball when she was 6 years old and at an early age was pitching against adults. She went on to represent the Australian Emeralds as a starting pitcher in every national team between 2001 and 2008. Simone was coach of the Emeralds from 2013 to 2018 and in 2012 was the first woman and the youngest person to be admitted to the Australian Baseball Hall of Fame. In 2013 she was voted into the top 100 Australian Sportswomen of all time.
