Simple Minds, "Alive and Kicking"

Simple Minds es una banda de rock escocesa de finales de los años 70 hasta la actualidad. A lo largo del tiempo han ido expresando géneros como Post-Punk, New Wave, New Romantic, experimentalismo, etc. Conquistaron el mercado americano y de todo el mundo, posicionándose en el primer puesto de los rankings, gracias al hit Don't you (Forget about me), parte de la banda sonora del film de John Hughes The Breakfast Club. Sin embargo, la banda no comenzó de manera exitosa a pesar de los estilos experimentales que implementaron en sus creaciones. Simple Minds a lo largo de su historia ha vendido más de 40 millones de discos. Sus miembros mas permanentes desde su formación en 1978 son Jim Kerr y Charlie Burchill, cantante y guitarrista de la banda, respectivamente.
