Main Points/Takeaways: - Starting January 1, 2025, all licensed customs brokers will be required to complete a minimum number of continuing education credits on a triennial basis to maintain their license.  - For the 2025-2027 triennial period, brokers will need to earn 20 credits. Going forward, the requirement will be 12 credits per year. - Approved continuing education activities include live webinars, online self-guided courses, conferences, port tours, and more - as long as they meet the criteria set by the accreditors. - Customs is collaborating closely with the private sector accreditors to ensure the program works for both the government and the trade community.
