Simpson Bowles and Your Investments

I know I am a broken record at times.  But most of us don’t realize that the solutions to our fiscal and debt problems are already laid out. It’s called the Simpson Bowles Plan.  The official name is National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.  Google Simpson Bowles PDF and you can read it there. The Commission was headed up by former Republican Senator Alan Simpson and former Democratic White House advisor Erskine Bowles. It lays out a plan for spending, taxes, and entitlement reform.  Since most politicians won’t pay attention to it – because it will hurt many special interest groups – it is up to the people to push for this. It is essential to our survival as a country. And it will help us all individually too – in the long run.
