We’re talking about something concrete and personal: this same mortal body goes into the ground, and God raises it up, changes it, and glorifies it just like Jesus Christ after His resurrection. That means no reincarnation, no anonymous replacement body, and no losing who we are. It also means we will recognize one another, and we will see the same Christ the apostles saw, now exalted in a real, physical body.That hope isn’t just future-facing theology.
