Since I had a nervous breakdown long ago, why do I experience pressure now?

from Barry Long Answers · host Barry Long Foundation International

A woman says she had a nervous breakdown a long time ago and that since then she feels pressure everywhere; if she wants to do something, she reports, she turns it into pressure. Barry asks her what a nervous breakdown is, and she says she experiences it as her body not doing what she wanted to do. She says that on the telephone she cannot hear anymore, gets blockages, and cannot translate what people are saying, and that when she swallows she cannot swallow.~This exchange is drawn from recording 4 of 6 from the 5 day talks in Eindhoven, first recorded in 1997. These and many other never-before-published recordings have been meticulously digitised only recently and are now available for listening in high quality through the Barry Long Archive.Direct links to the full recording will be posted here, as it becomes available.~Barry Long Answers is a new, free podcast that invites listeners into the intimate dialogue of audience questions and the spiritual master’s answer. His teaching is free from tradition or religion, be it Western or Eastern. Over more than twenty-five years he spoke to thousands of men and women and he addressed them where they were – in their real, living life. The reference point always being in living the truth now, not the past. In this directness lies Barry’s distinctive usefulness and uniqueness: a practical wisdom that addresses contemporary issues  and presents a way to transform the unhappy human condition into the freedom of being. The Barry Long Podcast: https://www.barrylong.org/podcast/aboutThe Barry Long Archive: https://www.barrylong.org/archive

Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We ask the tough questions, confront uncomfortable truths, and prepare for a future that resists easy answers. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next.
