Sing Second Pod Feb 01: Bring on the Service Assignment Super Bowl

Welcome to another great episode of the Sing Second podcast. We bring you the stories and happenings at the Naval Academy and the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation. It's Ship Selection Night at USNA. 250+ Mids will pick their ships, homeports and start their journey to being deckplate leaders. The Alumni Association will be there with a new wrinkle to the SWO Liberty Card. We also chat with Commander Peter Flynn '04, Director of Seamanship of Navigation, about the SWO community, his perspectives on a special night for his department and the Mids and how the Navy can sell SWO better to our future EOOWs and OODs. And we take a break from the Alumni Business Feature to bring you an interview with a deployed junior officer. LT Calvin Davies '17 is currently deployed on an LCS in the 7th Fleet AOR. He offers his perspective on recovering from failure as a Mid and standing in front of a division of sailors today and leading them into harm's way. That and more on Sing Second...brought to you by ProMD Health in Annapolis, Scott Schuetter '00 and the Shrek Realty Crew, and StratasCorp Technologies. Beat Army...Always!
