Singer/Songwriter: Cara Louise

from Jrodconcerts: The Podcast · host Jamie A Rodriguez

With a unique and soulful sound, Cara Louise sounds from another era. Powerful  and emotive vocal chops, along with expansive range, coupled with  inspired melodies and sincere, relatable lyricism, set her aside as a  true force of nature. Originally fronting Cara Louise Band from 2013-2018 Cara cut her teeth  playing open mic nights, dive bars, and honky-tonks regionally around  St. Louis. During that time, Cara released two EP's and an LP via  Gaslight Records, each thoroughly inspired by golden country and the  70's Nashville sound. In 2019, Cara dropped the "Band" from her name,  and released a new EP, "Fragile Heart", produced by David Beeman at  Native Sound Studios, and released via Soul Step Records. "Fragile  Heart" redefined the artist's sound and built a strong foundation where  her signature meld of indie-rock, folk, and Americana could begin to  coalesce. Pleased to welcome Cara to the  show to chat about a plethora of subjects. Among them, the change in  moving to Nashville, Growth during the pandemic, resilience and living  with passion and an exclusive performance of 'The Way I Am'.
