Singing Insects

This recording is best listened to with headphones. An insect Chorus featuring some of our local singers: Southeastern Field Crickets and/or Carolina Ground Crickets (singing a continuous trill and they are almost impossible to differentiate) Common True Katydid (singing "katy did-katy didn't, katy did-katy didn't") Greater Anglewing Katydi(singing tic-tic-tic-tic-tic) Lesser Anglewing Katydid (singing 2 to 3 shushes with long pauses between next set) Jumping Bush Crickets (singing singular peeps) Image: this is an actual sonogram of the recording you are listening to! recording file: B20h56m50s23aug2016y.wav
