Singing Rooster Connects Us to Haitian Coffee, Chocolate and Art

Singing Rooster, Inc. is a nonprofit with the goal of opening markets for Haiti’s small producers of coffee, chocolate and art. We first encountered Singing Rooster in the person of co-founder Molly Nicaise who lived in Madison with her husband and co-founder Christophe. Molly came to WORT from time to time to talk about Singing Rooster’s activities and developments. As time went on, the enterprise helped raise yields, create jobs and improve the lives of Haitian producers. Post COVID they moved operations to the East Coast. Since we haven’t talked for a while, Justin Dena, Singing Rooster’s Managing Director, helped us catch up with Singing Rooster, what it’s doing now and its place in the chaotic situation in Haiti.
