After 40 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner, someone has finally won the $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot.One ticket sold in California won the jackpot. According to the California Lottery, it was purchased at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena. That ticketholder isn't the only winner — 22 tickets matched the five white balls to win $1 million. One player in Florida added the Power Play and won $2 million. The tickets worth $1 million were sold in California, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina, Washington, Georgia, Maryland, Oregon and Texas. The news follows a dramatic night for Powerball — the Monday drawing was delayed by 10 hours as game officials scrambled to deal with a processing issue in one state. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and Kannapolis Fire Department, two people died and multiple people were injured.
