Sinking of The Titanic: The Tragedy - The Mystery, 100 Years Later

On this episode of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, we remember the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic. While not a baby-boomer topic per se, the interest and fascination of this tragedy has transcended generations, including baby-boomers. We look at some possible factors that increased the odds of that fateful collision, the moon for one. We reflect on what the lifestyle was during that era. How Titanic represented the latest and greatest in technology. We talk about how Titanic has been represented in popular culture and in motion pictures. And we also look at a work of fiction that came out a number of years before this event, and how it was eerily accurate in predicting Titanic's demise. Most importantly, we remember the victims of this tragedy, and remember that above all, this was a human story.
