Sinn Fein accuse the Tánaiste of showing no urgency in highlighting occupied territories atrocities
A local opposition TD has questioned the government’s commitment to passing a new bill concerning the occupied territories. Deputy Martin Kenny says all that is happening today is that the Tánaiste is basically getting permission from cabinet to write up a new bill. The Sinn Fein TD says while the bill will prevent Ireland from importing goods from Israeli companies that are operating in Palestinian territory, it does not include services - a significant contrast from the original bill from 7 years ago. He also says the time required to bring the bill into operation will be significant. The Leitrim TD says Sinn Fein will table a motion later in the Dáil concerning Israeli war bonds
