SIN’S UMBILICAL CORD

John 3:3 (KJV)Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.The umbilical cord connects a developing baby to its mother, providing nourishment, oxygen, and protection until birth. Once the child is born, that cord is no longer needed because the baby’s systems begin functioning independently.Likewise, before salvation, you were sustained by sin’s umbilical cord, completely dependent on a life separated from God. But when you were born again, that cord was cut. Now it’s your duty to put away every resemblance to your former life of sin. You are now sustained by the life of Christ in you, a life that offers divine protection, nourishment, and eternal supply separate from the world. Don’t look back to the former things; your new life has already begun.PRAYER FOR TODAYFather, help me to walk fully separated from my old life. I choose to live by the life of Christ within me and never return to the ways of sin.PROPHETIC DECLARATIONI am no longer sustained by the cord of sin!
