In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power. We like to call it the supernatural hour. Welcome to the supernatural hour.
This is your host, Raven. This is Chad. Hi, it's Moon. This is Vama.
Hello, this is Whiskey. Hey, and you know, this is coming out Christmas week. We don't. Christmas time gets crazy.
If you're on the good list. Merry Christmas. I know. If you're not eating, it might be a bad week for you, but hopefully it's a good week.
You guys doing anything for Christmas? Anything fun? Any going anywhere? It's my busiest time of year, so hopefully fingers crossed, potentially not working.
Oh, yeah. We'll see. Always on call though. That always sounds like fun.
Jess gets to come out to us. Yeah. So, she's secret. I'm flying out on Christmas morning to surprise my mom.
So I'll be there at 10 during the morning. Yay. Yay. If you hear this before Christmas, no, you didn't.
No, you didn't. Don't tell my mom. But yeah, we're all pretty excited for that. We got a team meeting set up.
All of Elma is out here. Flash party. Don't investigate some spoons. Arguably, it's a party.
All caps and then in parentheses meeting in all the lowercase. I think that's very, very good case. Small meeting. I got little trinkets.
You guys will be good. Trinkets from the Renaissance there. That's a birthday for one of our team members coming up. I see on the 24th Christmas Eve.
She says that everyone forgets her on her birthday. And so she's used to. I'm like, not a fine friend. No one's going to forget.
Here we are in the podcast remembering. Look at us. You know what? Christmas birthdays are hard.
My son's birthday is on the 23rd. And I had one of my older sons said that Christmas will never be the same for him unless he's like the one I grew up in about. I've got to have a birthday cake on Christmas Eve because he's just used to that because I was going to birthday cake for my Christmas birthday boy. I would change my birthday.
Honestly, if you can change your name, I feel like I'd be like, actually, we're going to be celebrating sometime in June, maybe like a summer type birthday. Yeah. People do have birthdays for sure when they have like Christmas birthday. So it doesn't feel like Christmas.
And then you're getting chipped about your presents. I asked him, I said, does it feel unfair? Because you know, only get to get presents once a year. He's like, I've never known any different, but castle his birthday is just a few days after Christmas.
And he always celebrated his in June because mine's in June. My mom's is in June. The sister right underneath him is in June. So we just had one big birthday party for everybody.
He felt like no. You might also get jibbed if that's not many burdens in June. Oh, hey, we didn't any different. All right.
Right. I just feel like a birthday after Christmas is hard because you like, you're wondering, did I not get it? Or is it coming for my birthday? I gave you a lot of batteries.
Why? I know the batteries were. No, I was made sure that you got birthday cake. But like birthday not Christmas.
I was wrapped as birthday present in birthday paper, except this year. I'm not wrapping his birthday present this year because I got the boy at couch because hopefully he's moving out. So is it not arguably birthday paper if you're wrapping it in Christmas paper? No, Christmas is on the 25th and his birthday is on the 23rd.
Therefore not Christmas. So there, I'm just gotta be balloons and stuff, not mistletoe and point says. Somebody's working on the 25th. It is a birthday, yeah.
All right. So let's hold back from birthday to Christmas and talk about some ghosts. Hold on a minute. We were talking about Castle.
That's right. So we might as well talk about Castle Photo Art. Okay. Okay.
See, so Castle Photo Art, he does an awesome job. He has both, he does portraiture. He also has a studio where you can go out and purchase landscapes and things that he does, which are just really awesome. He does a really, really good job.
He's really good with the nature photography. So but Castle Photo Art and I can look at his stuff and either sign up to have some pictures done with him or buy some of his art. I do have to tell you if any story about Castle, he does take some fantastic photos and my mother, our mother wants a specific photo related Christmas present and could not find my last full family picture to make this photo. So I gave Castle a call and I said, hey, we use them as two media again.
And it's a couple of years old and I said, I'm almost going to kill me because this picture is a couple of years old and he says, I don't have a current picture either. And I said, if your family, I'm like, you're a photographer. This is literally your almost job. But he does fantastic photos of everybody.
It's just not his own family. I was going to tripod at Christmas time and take pictures of my own family and send it up for Christmas cards. So even though they're not like nice family photos, I do have some through every single year. Oh, I love it.
Isn't there nice? She likes she takes a good picture. I am Asian. So you said it.
You can do this your peace lines and whatever. So we're going to talk about the Christmas ghost. So we'll talk about this fellow, the Sir Jeffrey, the Mandeville and his headless dog. This is from England.
This is historical. It's a period of time. I think it's really cool. Christmas just do it.
So shall we? Let us perhaps we shall. We're here to talk about Jeffrey. I see I read Jeffrey.
Okay. But Game of Thrones has me saying, Jeffrey, I'm saying this is a little guy with one hair. It doesn't sound like it. He is a bit of an anarchist, but I can't get past that.
So Jeffrey or Jeffrey, the Mandeville, the second, the first Earl of Essex. You guys might know him. He died pretty recently in September of 1144 AD. So pretty recent.
Some people listening to this might still be coping with that. In fact, he might be coping with that. We'll hear about that more later. But he was a prominent figure during the reign of King Stephen or Stephen.
Who knows? Wasn't around. Of England. Probably Stephen.
I don't think there's any stuff in his back then. He was a guy who basically inherited a lot from his father, who was his father, was one of the right hand man to William the Conqueror during the campaigns. That's how his father came across a lot of the stuff. Some land was taken from him.
And so it kind of just put him in this weird spot where he supported the current king. And when the anarchy happened, the Civil War in England, he started playing both sides where he got all of his land back. And everything was cool. Stephen, the king, was in jail.
And he supported the other side there in Brismatilda. And he didn't. And he flip off back and forth so much that eventually ended up as outcast. He was excommunicated from a church and things like that.
But he did live a pretty interesting life. I think he also was at one point a point of the Sheriff of Essex, Earth for Chire, Middlesex, and London. The Sheriff of London is a pretty big deal, I would say. Definitely.
There's also a cool pry that ended up becoming an abbey that you founded. So he's called the Walden Abbey now in Walden Essex. So I'm looking up at school. Looking building.
Very cool. I think so. I guess I don't know. But it's unclear when exactly he was born or anything like that.
Records weren't that great back then. We've come a long way in birth records. So you know, just appreciate advancements knowing when people are born at the time of this recording. So you don't know when he was born, but I know he died.
So he was excommunicated from the Christian church. So he actually died in a battle in September of 1144. This is a bound time ago. He was shot by an arrow when he was laying siege to Burwell Castle.
Still excommunicated. So he's died in a Christian burial, but his body was initially put in a monastery found which is the Walden pryory pryory. Yeah. His body was placed in a lead coffin by the Knights Templars.
And his mind accepted Burwell within the Temple Church in London. Before this, those bodies left in the Old Temple in Halburn for 20 years, some say that he was hung from a tree in the casket. So it's not very, what's respectfully buried, I suppose. His son, Drawfrey III arranged for an F.G.
who placed on the floor where it can still be seen today in the Temple Church in London. But the Temple Church was badly damaged by bombing during World War II and its burial vaults were ransacked by looters. So man, his body's not doing well. Put in that out there.
Many coffins are smashed and thrown on the floor and the skull of Drawfrey was stolen placing suspicion for the theft on a private collector. That man's body did not go through very good things. So we didn't like him. He was exiled.
Yup. I want this goal. Wait, who, listen, if you're listening to this podcast and you have this goal, you can mail it to me, no questions asked. Right?
I want to ask where it came from. It's probably back there. You get me beam. He won that.
There were some holes there. There's a room where you walk in and they're like, there's just a lot of skulls in here, all human skulls with no stories behind them. I'm like, let's hope they have a solid chain of custody on these bones, especially in a place like Vegas. I don't know.
I'm saying. Hopefully they're not recent. I just like, I know we're about to, we'll talk about the curse a little bit, but like it's interesting to me how the skull being stolen isn't the start of the curse story. I don't know.
No. It's true. Like he, he wanted to curse people before he died. Okay.
How do you do it? I know. If you want to do it yourself. So, sir, Jeffrey was said to have left a curse on the properties that he used to own.
He said that if it was ever taken from him, that ruin would fall on those that betrayed him, even though he may have betrayed the monarchy, but you know, multiple times in both monarchies. He fell. He fell. He fell.
He fell. It's from the internet. So I don't know if it's true or not, but regarding if his assets were ever taken, they, they would quote, fill the curse of Almighty God of St. Mary of blessed James the apostle and of all the saints in this present life, and that in the life to come that he may receive everlasting torment with trader Judas unless he repents and make him wins.
So hopefully someone wrote that down and jotted that down and that's 100% accurate. But like he gave him an out. They can at least repent. Yeah.
That's what we all want. I know, like if you recommend to me, then you will not be tormented with Judas. I'm just saying I think the pharaohs should have taken a page out of that book and started cursing people when they were alive and not just having their burial sites protected by curses. Right, learn from English.
Okay, so he also said every six years on Christmas Eve, he and his headless dog would haunt the land that he used to own and he'd be dressed in a red cloak. Okay, wait, wait a minute. What about a headless dog? He and his headless dog?
This is the first we've heard about that. That's an excellent parry potter. Headless dog. Like as I was thinking about this, this is kind of weird, but like I was thinking about this like headless dog, you don't really know what kind of animal it is, you know?
What if it's a chihuahua? It'd be little. That'd be scary. I don't think chihuahua was worse in England back then.
But anyways, like so people that visited the property he owned, especially at the Pims Brook Bridge have reported hearing strange sounds and seeing the hazy image of the headless dog coming through the fog with a knight in full armor and his red cloak intact. So the next anticipated sighting of the red knight and his headless ghosty buddy will be 2028. So if we want to have a trip out there, we can go see him because he only comes every six years, which is like, man, if I was going to like haunt and curse people, I would probably do every day. You got every six years.
So he's got to set up a part on Christmas Eve, right? Yeah, Christmas Eve. So is there any more information about the headless dog? Just an aberration of a headless dog.
It's not like, wow, he had Bowser and you know, Bowser was in the war and somebody got a headless dog. I don't know. It's just I think that's like, it's got to be something like a euphemism back in the old days. Maybe headless dog is like not literally a headless dog.
You know, it's like, I don't know. Maybe it's a person that was like, you know, a servant. I saw one report that he also showed up with a black cloak in full armor as a skeleton. Somebody said, and that is very frightening, but is much more exciting.
I feel like that guy to red cloak was saying. Well, I'm looking on here. I was trying to find more. Oh, God.
I'm trying to find more. Okay, there's a website and it says his hell headless hellhound. So maybe it's like he's a cursing non-Christian exiled man with his demon headless dog. I don't know.
You know, and maybe there's this thing after you die that if you've cursed someplace, you're just assigned a hellhound to help you with a criminal. They even sometimes website ask for why the hellhound is headless. You'd have to ask Sir Jeffrey about that. So nobody knows.
It's not brave enough to go up to him and his armor and cloak. Maybe that will break the curse if somebody like. Oh, right. I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Hi, Sir. First of all, sorry for being on your land. I know that's a whole thing with you. Tell me about your dog.
Can I pet him? Can I pet your dog? Can I pet him? That's true.
True. I feel like we're gonna be bitten because what are you gonna do? Like, swallow me whole with his exposed neck? Yeah, you know, you go into the whole thing.
Worse. If it's a ghost dog, there's no blood. So it won't be so bad. It's probably still got its ghost dog tongue and it's gonna try to lick you and it's gonna be flopping there.
Yeah. Yeah. It's worst everybody. they put like a grain of corn inside of its neck hole.
When they talk about it on a date of the day. Yep, it's a little bit for a while. I don't know if I'm going to stop her. I'm going to bring this back to the Earl of Essex.
Just so you know. So if you look up the family seat, you know, because every Earl, every Duke, they've got their house and their house is all fancy. And the family seat for the Earl of the Earl of Essex is called Cassiobury Park. And the initial castle, I mean, the one that's been there forever, was demolished in 1927.
But not only do we have Sir Geoffrey Joffrey in his headless hand, there are some other ghosts kicking around there as well. One of his occupants is named Arthur Capell, and he fought for the Royalists during the Civil War, not the American Civil War, but in England. And he was arrested by the parliamentarians, and he was beheaded in 1649. And so if you miss the Christmas sighting of Sir Joffrey, you could see Arthur Capell.
And he actually kicks around on the anniversary of his death, which is the night of March. So you can also see, it doesn't say if he's decapitated or not when you see his ghost, and he's kicking around there. And there's actually a canal which passes through the property, hit saunted by the ghost of Jack O. Cassiobury.
He was an African American servant that was employed by a family that lived beside a canal. And she ordered him to harass people that were traveling down barges in the river. And there was actually, right near her home, was a lock called Iron Bridge Lock. And she didn't like it when it came so close to her home, so his job was to go out and harass him.
And one day, one of the men on the barge, I just had enough of this harassment, took a swing at Jack, Jackville on the canal and drowned. So apparently Jack's ghost stalks the canal that runs near where this house used to be. I thought Jack's ghost was somewhere in the Atlantic. You know, yeah.
He does rose with the lighting on the little piece of wood, which, scientifically, they have proven what I tell him. Alright, PJ. So Jack's in water. Your name's Jack, I just stay with the water.
It's not boating well for you. So there's also, the Cassiobury house is in an area called Watford. And there's actually a theater, very close, that's frequented by several ghosts. Anybody surprised by theater ghosts?
Not even a little. So people that visit the dressing room say they have a strong feeling of a malevolent presence, and they get kind of just an icy chill feeling and they'll hear footsteps. And historically, two people have fallen to their deaths from the theater gallery, and they believe that they're angry, and that might be the cause of these creepy feelings. There's a library, and it's known as the Stack.
It's actually a storage area for the reference library. And they've had several people encounter ghosts in this area. Today, there was a panic alarm that was set off in the room, and so a couple members of the staff went to investigate. And when they got there, no one was there.
There's no windows, and the stack can only be reached by a single corridor, so they have no idea why the alarm went off. There's some offices there. They were the former offices of the Watford Observer, and they're now developed for housing. They're said to be hunted by a violent ghost, and they call him Fred, which is the name of our elf on the shelf.
Just so the catering staff will get there, and they'll get there early to start working the morning. They have said that they've been pushed by invisible hands, and one woman was pushed off her feet. She was pushed so hard. In that area was a building that was the site of a mental asylum.
So hundreds and hundreds of patients were in and out of there. In 2008, there was a fellow by the name of Manuel Amunia, and he was living on a house near the asylum. And on several occasions, he says he saw the ghost of a monk holding a candle. And his wife was so afraid of this ghost that they got special permission.
So he plays soccer. He's a goalkeeper. And his wife was so afraid that her husband was able to get special permission to go home from training at lunch, so that she didn't have to be home alone for too long during the day. There are just a ton of these.
There's a church on site, and the abbots at the church say that it's haunted by the ghost of Marianne Treble. She was a housekeeper at a formal World War I. Her death was of mysterious circumstances. Some people say she caught pneumonia.
Others say she was murdered. She has been seen on several occasions walking from the church to her grave, and she was seen by the crew during a service. There was a bishop who was actually called to perform an exorcism, and apparently she hasn't been seen since. So that's good.
And then there's also a farm. So if you're familiar with these kinds of homes of dukes and homes of worlds, it's not just a house. There's going to be farms and homes and churches. It's like a whole little mini town in a way.
And so there is a farm. It's called Green End Farm, and a little woman has been said to wait people in the night by pulling sheets off the bed. She wears a black gown, trimmed with white lace, and people report hearing the jingling of horses harnesses, sound of footsteps, even though there's no one around. And people think that this is because of the events that took place at this farm during the Civil War when Cromwell's soldiers stayed in Attic.
And last but not least, there was a little free school said to be haunted by the ghost of a teacher who died in a fire at the school while trying to save the people's. So you add all of these, you add the ghost of the Earl, and kind of a crazy little area there. And is Headless L-Hound Dog? Oh yeah, I don't forget that.
The next Clifford. For the Hound Dog. Clifford the Headless. That's what I'm talking about.
Or Clifford. So now is Whiskey's Barrel Full of Little Tools, and I was looking at the website. And I saw some interesting little things here. So it's presented by Mystic Frog, and it's the place for all things spiritual, metaphysical, and occult.
And I was looking at their little events, and they'll make some fun little things coming up. And one of them was a Mystic Paint Night while I'm there, just putting that out there. Ooh, I would go. You're in.
Sign us up. We'll go. Well, it's the main exact thing. I don't know.
Ah, really? What the fuck you make? Seven to nine. Oh my gosh.
I moved to the party earlier. We were going painting after friends. Yeah. We have a whole day.
We have a whole day to do it. We're driving all over the state. It's a Utah takeover. So I've been working on some stuff, which means I definitely need some investigations to come up.
We have one in recent history. We'll talk about that soon. Was there something? There's only one way to find out.
I'm listening. What have I been working on? We actually, Raven, has the first new thing that came out, and it was used as the investigation. Oh, and it gave it to me.
Yeah. It's horrific. There's already a V2. Don't worry on camera.
I can show everybody here. For those of you who aren't here, you can't see it. Also, it's way over exposed because I don't do any auto lighting, but it only has yes. I know on it and a little logo on the back there.
That's V2. What is it? I wonder what you guys are imagining right now. You're like, yes and no.
He's talking about you. What is it? Kind of. It could be.
Yeah. Yeah. I need a lot more lights, but we can make it happen. It actually.
I'm not a bad idea. We'll come back to that one. But I got a new 3D printer. I bought it literally before a podcast episode not too long ago for Cyber Monday, and it came in.
I've been messing with it. It's so much faster, so much better. It's allowed me to like, prototype some things. I don't have a ton of time to solder and do some other hardcore things, but I do have time to quickly 3D design things for my phone, for my computer, and a little bit here and there, and then just let my computer and my printer do all the work.
We have come together and made a bunch of these little light bags. We'll sell them to Frog and then our events. If you come by, we can sell you one. They have a little sticker on them.
It's essentially just three dumb LED lights. I say dumb not because they are looking, but they don't have any intelligent components to them. It's literally two wires of an LED and some batteries. There's nothing smart about it these days.
One thing that we've encountered. So what you're saying is they're not pre-programmed to do anything? Exactly. If they are, that is going to come for me.
And for me being able to program something that's invisible. Arguably, it feels like they're programmed when you start using them though. But these little lights, one issue that we've kind of had with them, I have little rubber gaskets around them to keep them water proof or closer to water proof technically in case they drop in something. But they also help them kind of stick surfaces.
They're still round, so they will still roll and that doesn't make it very easy. So I put it in a little stand and it says yes and no on it. Raven says yes and no on maybe. Oh, that's a super limited edition.
You can put your lights directly into it. It helps you screw them on or off so you can get the settings just right. It's even flat because it's a nice little square. Not really a square but you'll only find out if you buy it when I guess it's like a rectangle.
I like it too because these lights are amazing but they're so small having them in there makes the whole thing just a little bit bigger and you can keep track of it. You can keep track of it. They sit nicely. You can technically set it on its side so it can aim down a hallway or you can set it flat.
You don't have to worry about it rolling. And the thing that they go in fits in your pocket too. It's not smaller than I can set tape if you guys know what that is listening hopefully. So is it kind of used like the way that we use the flashlight?
Yes, no kinds of things. Is that kind of the idea behind it? Same idea with the flashlight that we've been using to say turn the green one on for yes and no just like the other two flashlight side raven used. And now we just have a little thing that physically says yes or no that you can set them in if you want.
And then I got rid of the maybe because I was like what if we just want to leave it as a free form thing. Because maybe we say we're older younger than 25 maybe is just a scapegoat and a cop out answer. We don't want to take that away. You can say yes or no or you can say dead on or whatever we decide the middle light means.
So yeah, more to come on that. I'm pretty. Pretty. I definitely want one of those things.
Flasets are my favorite tool. My absolute favorite tool. Perhaps we talked about business partner moon over there. We could probably swing given you one or your for your travels.
Definitely. So yeah, that's that's what's going on. It is my super, super busy time with my actual job. So unfortunately, some of the more exciting things that I have planned.
I haven't worked on. But one other thing got completed today. Wait, wait, wait, like we have actual jobs? Just me actually.
I'm just kidding. I think it's really funny though when I tell people about the ghost hunting stuff and they're like, I wish that was my job. I'm like me too. I wish it was also my job.
But it's not. What's it like to have that as your job? I'm like, I will let you know when I find out. It's called an organized hobby.
So it's a nice hobby. That's right. I finished constructing a portal. I sent a picture of it to moon moon got to see the mess.
I will 3D print an enclosure to hold some of the pieces to it. What's a portal? Great question. It's probably not what you guys are thinking it is.
Essentially, you take a spirit box and you run it through some guitar pedal effects and it cuts out a bunch of static. And then when it picks up words or anything that comes out, it adds a little reverb to it. So reverb is essentially like the sound in your bathroom, right? It's not an echo.
It's not going to be like, hello, hello. But you'll hear the sound for a little bit longer, which makes it easier to say it to tell what's happening. And the cool part about this setup is you could run it into your headphones if we want to use it for the estus method. Or with my spirit box house two channels, we can literally run one person to the estus method one into the portal and see what we get.
So more to come on that soon, but it did work. I didn't get anything exciting in my house. So we definitely need to go play in time at my grandma's house where we usually get a good spirit box activity to see if it works for paranormal purposes. That was work when I pick up radio stations.
So I tested it on that works on my guitar. But it might be one of the first ones that's actually after I tested in its test phase, fully operable without being plugged into a wall or anything. So we will see what happens there soon. Anyways, very cool.
That is all I had to say about that. Maybe. You got any junk? Can you draw us over there?
Wait, no, maybe not junk. Can you draw us over there? Let's do you have anything in the junk drawer for us today? I do.
And the junk drawer is sponsored by the Jewish Performing Arts and Cultural Events Center or PACE. So you guys, if you enjoyed this Christmas podcast with a Christmas topic, after we record this episode, we record a special episode, a monthly episode for our Patreons. If you want to hear that one, which is also a Christmas episode, I want to over there's all sorts of different levels with a different levels. You get different swag, you get different fun stuff, you get free investigations.
So hop on over to Patreon and sign up and you can hear the Christmas one. Firm handshakes. Absolutely. So if you guys ever heard of like crazy rules, crazy laws and different states and stuff like that.
Oh yeah. Yes. Old, tiny laws that are still technically there but no one of course. Can you just Sunday on a Sunday?
Right, you can't fish from horseback and stuff like that. So there's actually some weird paranormal rules. You want to hear some of these? Yeah, tell us.
Who makes the rules? I don't know. The paranormal governing body? The thing about these rules is you want to go back.
What happened to make this rule need to be a thing? How many were written off of watching an episode of Ghost Adventures? He needs some rules to it. I know.
That was like, and yeah, just, I don't know. I think they get bored. I think lawmakers get bored. They think we just need to make a really new weird laws.
The paranormal investigators get bored too. So here we go. Right. So in Massachusetts, I'm sorry.
Sellers and real estate agents don't have to disclose if a property has been cited as supernatural or parapsychological phenomena. You can just keep that under wraps. And other states including Mississippi, Florida, Texas, Maryland and Georgia have similar don't ask, don't tell laws. I was actually talking to someone about that recently.
I'm trying to remember if it was actually a thing that you had to say or not. Interesting. Military must have a lot of ghosts. Right.
So I'm thinking that if you're not one of the states listed, you probably have to disclose that something freaky went on in your property. When I sold my home in Provo, when I was young, my mother actually passed away and the woman, we never brought anything up about that. Oh. I mean, how many times are you going to have situations like that with people having passed your home and that kind of stuff?
And you do hear some times of homes where there had been a murder. What about the murder house, Raven, that our son was looking at? I don't know. They did not disclose.
I didn't disclose anything about my super own house. I was like, well, they'll find out. Yeah. My guess is they didn't disclose it because the his my son's real estate agent didn't mention anything about it.
But it was like splatter or whatever on the ceiling. Well, come cleanse it for you. It's just a really aggressive butcher down. All right.
So there are a few more. Property can be classified as having a stigma if there was an unnatural death on the property. It was used as a brothel or it was featured in a movie or TV shows. That's a very wide range of something to be considered a stigma.
Brothel's getting pretty hot, but I'm sure too. That's a double whammy. I know all that energy. Paraform, paranormal phenomenon are events that go against the scientific understanding of the world such as ghosts, telekinesis and clairvoyants.
So if we move into New Orleans, where they practice a lot of voodoo, the business of fortune telling, which includes chronology, phrenology, astrology and polymystery, telling or pretending to tell fortunes, either with cards, hands, water, letter or other methods. It's actually unlawful, which I thought was interesting. But, no, this doesn't apply if it's a medical science or any religious worship. So Louisiana voodoo is considered as spiritual beliefs and therefore, they're prious.
Well, it's just... It's okay to practice all of that above stuff that we mentioned in San Francisco. You only need to get a fortune telling permit. Well, of course you need to permit because the government wants you to pay for everything.
Okay. Well, no, it gets better. So you go to the police department in San Francisco and you get the fortune telling permit, which also allows you to practice necromancy. Perfect.
It's an all-in-one permit, necromancy and fortune telling. Yep. Very gnarly. I heard you have to solve at least one cold case before you can get your permit.
But it says the permit is also good for removing curses, seership, prophecy, astrology and palmistry. So it's a really valuable permit to have. I wonder how much the permit is. That would be a fun permit to have.
Oh, yeah, we had it. We'd be so legit. It looks like it's about just under $350 and includes fingerprinting, a public hearing and a background check. Oh, that's how they get you.
They want you to pay taxes. It costs more than a permit for a masseuse. Hey, you're dealing with necromancy here. Somebody who went to school has to pay.
Hey, maybe not almost because it's one to school. Maybe that's why it's a cheap permit. Yeah. You know, it costs a little more to reanimate the dead.
There's a little asterisk and I'm going to read it to you. I'm not going to paraphrase it. I'm going to read it word for word. Hey, the asterisk is ghosts are people too.
So make sure you understand the laws of your state. Oh, yes, let's go. I disagree. Those were people too.
And listen, if you're in California and you're getting a massage and they try to read the palms of your hands of your foot, may massage report them. All right. That is a licensing violation to the board. Those are also headless ducks.
Yeah. And it's very important that ghosts life matter. Right. Yeah.
You have a shirt. Yes, I do. So a couple more whiskey. We're going to go to California.
California requires a disclosure of the death and the matter of death. If it was within the past three years. They sure do. That's why you keep your house for four years.
In Massachusetts, the fact or suspicion that a property may be or is psychologically impacted isn't a material fact. It has to be disclosed in a real estate transaction. I ecologically impacted. That's why I'm going to call my houses now.
That's what I'm going to call myself. I'm going to call myself. I'm psychologically impacted. Okay.
So basically what that means is you can't sue your Boston listing agent or the sellers because Beetlejuice is hanging out in your master suite and Missouri actually has the same kind of law. I mean, it's interesting that they put or suspected of because if some of the reporting houses were being suspected of their normal activity, you can name a few ex team members that blacklist the entire country. Oh, yeah. So there you go.
So before you be selling your house, maybe you should look up your laws. If you think you have a ghost in it because you might have to, you might have to disclose that stuff. And if you call us, I'm not telling your house is haunted. No, we keep that under wraps.
We value your privacy. All right. So talking about haunted houses, we had a call from a woman who we've actually investigated her house before, but it's been a long time since us as a team has been out there. And moon, I know, have you been out to her house at time or two just to check things out.
I think once. Yeah. Yeah. So she has a lot.
But the people in the home are very. The word just went away sensitive open minded. They are definitely open minded, but I do think that they are sensitive as well. So they just had some concerns and was he you and I were on this particular investigation.
So the first time we went to her house, which was several years ago, she actually had an entity there and we were getting some definite activity, definite bad feels, and we cleanse the home, you know, told her a few things to do to keep things from following her home. And then other than one time when moon went out, I heard from her several years. Now, we ski you were on that investigation with me. Do you want to start off with this second investigation?
We did as a team. Yes. So it started out just like most investigations. We had the story from the homeowner.
We had one of our new trainees with us. So it was good to get some new faces out there. And we all went into the Carl space, which was very cramped. Eventually I had to separate and then we sectioned off in different areas of the house, talking to different people in the house.
A lot of people lived there. My group at least did not experience anything paranormal. We didn't feel anything, didn't see anything. Every claim that was made, at least to us, we were able to find logical reasons why they might feel that way, whether it was high EMA coming out of the walls in exact positions where they say they saw something.
They felt something, they feel uneasy in areas. With the structure of the house, the footsteps they were hearing and talking to some other people that live in the house, the footsteps could be at any portion of the house because there's a very large kind of void space in the center for all the staircases and everything. So you hear the footsteps from anywhere in the house, like it's right above your head, no matter where you're at, no matter where they're walking at. So all in all, I think, at least from my side with Christy and Bree, those with us there, we definitely just kind of gave them a lot of education.
A lot of explaining like, hey, this is why you feel this way. There's scientific, logical reasons for you to feel like something's in your house when there's nothing we can quantify. That's what we got. So the area that she wanted us to look at was a crawl space.
And for a crawl space, it's really not. It's definitely a crawl space. You have to crawl to get into it. There wasn't a whole lot of room.
So when we first went there, we all started down in that room. And we were getting a couple of lights turning on, but not really anything too crazy. And after a while, it got just kind of cramped down in there. And so, Whiskey and Christy stayed there.
And Mel and I came out. Bree was also there. Did she stay with you, Whiskey? Yep, he stayed with us.
And we went out into the bedroom where they said they were getting some activity. And we had all sorts of equipment that come out. We had a couple of little bullet lights come on, but not really answering intelligently. When we waited, we were asking questions.
We were pulling out all sorts of equipment. And one point, we finally pulled out the Dowsing rods to see if we could get anything through the Dowsing rods. And we did ask if there was a spirit there. And it pointed to the crawl space about the same time.
Whiskey, what was it that kind of thing? It was the bear that went off. But we ended up debunking that it was actually likely me. Due to the high level of RF in the house, the bear was actually more sensitive to the impedance of objects near it.
So, normally, you have seen the bear. You have to touch it. And if not, you're grazing it to get this set off. I could set it off for a good four or five inches away in that crawl space.
I had just moved my hand by and set it off. And initially thought it wasn't. We did some more testing. We were in the tapes.
Yeah, we were in the bedroom. We were right by all of that. High enough equipment. Also, where it would surprise me if that encountered two.
But that's the only thing that really really had happened. Where she lives, she's really close to a smaller airport that's nearby. So that could be part of the problem with the RF all over the place. Yep, for sure.
And at that same point, airplanes, different types of airplanes and engines going by make different types of rumbling sounds. Jet engines are pretty consistent, but propeller planes gearing down as they come in and changing the speed of their engine will definitely make some weird sounds in your house. Yeah, and then all the different radio transmissions from the control tower, the different planes on different frequencies, all sorts of things. That would be a big deal.
It's a lot and it really doubled down that they are sensitive to that because people in the house who didn't have as compelling experiences talked about a few of them and we walked and checked them out and they were able to see like, oh, wow, like we could they would tell us we just walk right there and quantify what they were feeling with just a tri-field meter. Oh, yeah, it was a good educational session, I think. Yeah, we were there for two hours. And I think probably the last half hour, maybe 40 minutes was just talking them through why they were feeling what they were feeling and how they could overcome that, how they know.
And it was she was so impressed with it that she actually said a text the next day that said she appreciated the knowledge that everybody on the team had and how we work together, which was nice for us to hear. But it's nice to be able to go home because not everything is paranormal and it's nice to be able to go home and say we totally believe that you're feeling this and we totally believe that you're hearing this, but it's not always necessarily a paranormal. So even though we didn't get a whole lot of activity that was still fun because of how empowered and that's actually the word that she used to empower they felt less paranormal and more electromagnetic. And that's one thing that I did talk about with them is, you know, they felt like it was a recurring thing and that they were powerless and I said, hey, feeling powerless like you aren't in control is definitely opening a door to something that might want to take advantage of that.
So I know you're taking a lot of physical steps, but if you keep telling yourself they're not working, eventually they won't work and you'll whether they don't work because you're in your own head or something paranormal actually happens. That's a huge thing. And my other tip from that investigation is if you feel like you have something in your house that you can't get rid of, don't try to talk to it. Call some professionals for help.
Obviously seek some mental health help. Don't buy a bunch of equipment and try to talk to something that you're already frustrated with in your house because that again is opening a door and accepting that something is in your house whether or not it was initially paranormal. That really works with it. Exactly.
Yeah. And if you're seeking something like that, if you're not coming in slightly skeptical and you're spaced off of like you hear a bunch of things and you want to talk to the entity living in your airport, you're going to get a lot of K2 hits. And I know that there are some people who say I can't not talk to it if you know because it's in my space. If you feel like you absolutely have to say something to it, then it needs to be something like get out.
You're not welcome here. Do not give it any sort of invitation to make it feel welcome. And here's the thing to is if you start investigating in your own home, if you don't do it correctly, I don't even investigate my home very often. It's rare.
If there's nothing there, as soon as you start investigating in your home, that right there is an invitation to invite something in and then you will have something in your house. So you just need to be very, very careful. Well, meanwhile, whiskey in the basement is lab grading equipment and then walking around saying hello. Speak to me.
Yes, you've got stuff there and you can do it properly. Maybe. Or that could get laying a whole lot of things. You're going to grab Bobby Mackie part two and have like a whole border to hell down there.
That's right. And I'll sell pieces of my house one at a time until I pay off the house. Yeah, there you go. Yes.
Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, get rich, quick. I know you were a rapper. I'm not a good one. I saw that there is like a super moon going on right now.
Is that true? So I looked up a kind of moon we have according to my last talking about the I believe it was a beaver moon. It was our last super moon of the year, but we do have a full moon or at least I think it happened yesterday. Yeah, that's called moon.
