Sir Mark Dunajtschik: Radio silence from City Council since Reading Offer

from Wellington Mornings with Nick Mills · host Newstalk ZB

A prominent philanthropist says he hasn't heard a peep from the Wellington City Council, after offering to bail out the Reading cinema deal. Sir Mark Dunajtschik offered to pay 32 million dollars for the land under the Cinema, so the Council wouldn't have to. But the City Council voted to go ahead with plans to buy it themselves. Tory Whanau told Newstalk ZB on Monday they were still in discussions with Sir Mark about the offer. But, three days on, he told Nick Mills on Wellington Mornings he hasn't heard anything.
