London-based DJ and filmmaker Moontalk is driven by a passion for building immersive sonic dreamworlds. She likes weaving together dub pressure, polyrhythmic play and percussive textures, anchored in low-end psychedelia and often sprinkled with jazz and soulful flavours. Drawing across a wide spectrum of sounds, tempos, and eras, genre always comes second to feeling in her sets. Moontalk has shaped dancefloors and deep listening rooms from Lost Village to Southbank Centre, with regular appearances at London’s beloved clubs including Corsica Studios, Colour Factory, Palais, NT’s and MOT. She continues to mould and evolve her versatile sound through residencies at Subtle, Voices Radio and Om Being, guided by an open-minded and adventurous approach. This mix captures her current sound perfectly - rooted in UK soundsystem culture, laced with nostalgia, and driven by a forward-thinking, dubwise energy that cuts across genres. In May, I’mMoontalk will be launching DUBMERGE, a FLINTA-led party and mix series. This set offers a glimpse of what you can expect to hear from the night: deep, earthy, spiritual, and bass-rich. It features cuts from immensely talented producers Mia Koden, Beatrice M., and Carre, whose tracks have become staples in her sets lately, and it also serves as a love letter to two of her favourite DJs: Livwutang and Jane Fitz.
