As you well know, I absolutely love hip/hop and rap music and I am so pumped to have an old friend of mine on the show - Episode 156 features ATL based rapper @itsfickybaby ! You might have caught some of our interview last week on Instagram live but there were so many amazing topics that I knew I had to share it again. 🎬 In episode 156 we discussed: •Early inspirations and influences: Originally from Indiana, Ficky has a deep appreciation and respect for all styles of rap but draws inspiration from artists like Kanye West, J.Cole, T.I. and more - Ficky's unique style showcases flavors from some of the best in the game but wrapped up in his own special way. 😎 •Discography: Ficky's first official release was in 2017 and although it was a slow burn to start, he never stopped making new music and has well over 100 unreleased tracks to date. In the past 2 years things have really taken off releasing tracks like "Sneakerhead", "Lotto", "Haterade" and released an 8 track album titled "Journey Home". We talked through the backstories and creative process of some of his most powerful tracks - this guy is a machine. 💪🏻 •Marketing, Branding, and Self-Promotion: The landscape for a rapper is so much different than electronic music and Ficky has truly his his stripes and built a dedicated following over the years. He gave us the DL on how he uses various social media platforms to build hype and help his future fans discover him.
