SITB 162 feat. Blookah

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

Episode 162 features the incredibly talented DJ/Producer Blookah and I am so glad we got to do this one in person. Nick was in town from Iowa and we had a blast getting his full story 📖 In 162 we discussed: •Early inspirations and influences: Born and raised in Iowa, Nick was given a drum set at an early age and fell in love with the energy he could create. Eventually he joined a band and became enamored with the endless possibilities of instrumentation and compositions that came through collaboration. Music quickly became more than a passion for Blookah and grew into a daily practice and way of life. ⭐️ •Becoming an electronic music producer: Blookah was introduced to Flying Lotus, Snakehips and Flume in 2013/2014 and was almost immediately compelled to start producing and releasing electronic music. Their unique sounds led Blookah to start creating his sonic identity and shortly after his brand was born. 🐣 •Discography: I can confidently say Blookah is the opposite of a 1 trick pony. He's released a multitude of solo tracks, collaborations, and features with artists like INZO, ALIGN, BARDZ, Jim Swim, and Leo Napier. His most recent EP, "Can't Help Myself" is truly something special and delivers an end-to-end auditory experience of his style. Incredible!👏🏻 I'm such a big fan of Blookah's sound and I'm an even bigger fan now that I've met him in person. Just a genuine guy who loves making music and I think that's something we can all get on board with. 🙌🏻 Thanks for stopping by while you were in Chicago and I can't wait to experience a live Blookah set as soon as possible! linktr.ee/sherminthebooth
