Six Suspects Linked to Chelan Fire | Spokane News

Six adults, including an 18-year-old arrested for allegedly starting the deadly Chelan Hills wildfire with fireworks from a moving truck, face charges as investigators close in. The fire, fueled by wind and dry grass, killed one man carrying his late wife’s ashes and destroyed 19 homes. Five others are wanted; authorities say they know who they are and will be brought to justice. Video, cell data, and surveillance led to arrests. The suspect, facing manslaughter and arson, must surrender his passport and wear a GPS monitor if released. This preventable disaster cost billions and left a community reeling.
