Without Joel Embiid to act as their defensive anchor, the Sixers turned in an embarrassing defensive effort against Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets, falling 144-109 to extend their losing streak to season long seven games. Jokic had his 19th triple double of the season. Christian Braun (20), Michael Porter Jr (19) and Aaron Gordon (19) all had strong performances for the Nuggets, with Julian Strawther’s career-high 23 giving Denver an unexpected lift off the bench.Tyrese Maxey had a strong 28-point, 10-assist performance in the loss, with Guerschon Yabusele adding in 22 off the bench.
