TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

Good morning everyone, today is Tuesday, day five. So I had titled a 60 benefits from that I received, or I derived from doing my podcast, so I'm doing covering 10. So as I'm giving myself permission to write, think, what are the 10 benefits? What are the 10 benefits?

Every day I'm thinking, right? So I decided to do it bite-sized, you know, 60. If I think about 60 at one time, no way. Neither am I going to be motivated to do it, nor nor, you know, I would come up with the 60 benefits, right?

So it was my own, my own way of thinking, and said, I said, let me make it bite-sized. So thank God, thank you, my listeners. I was able to complete four, part four, not today's part five. So today it's very interesting when I was thinking about the acronym, Ex-TEM, that I created based upon my learning and the way I distilled it from the learnings from the teachings of science of wellbeing.

It's actually from Yale psychology department. So I, so Ex-TEM, so let's come back to that second G, which is growth mindset. So I was just looking, you know, at the, or maybe seeking, putting my attention to the growth mindset episode, which I'm actually, I would, I think what I'm thinking is, I will give the link to that episode in my suggested, in my short summary. Okay, I'll do that.

So today it's going to be more than benefits, it's going to be like cascade. Like I would, I would, I would, I would, I'll do the first point. Okay, I'll, I'll think about the first benefit first point. Then the second one is a link to the first, third is a link to the third, second, fourth is a link to the third.

So I want you to visualize as a cascade as a step by step, um, revelations that I got by doing the growth mindset, um, growth mindset episode. Okay. All right. Number one, being an empty nester coupled with an unexpected turn of external events of lockdown made me wonder about growth mindset of the acronym that I created, Egg Stem, E for exercise, G for giving, G for good, a growth mindset, as for social connection, T for time affluence, E for enjoying every moment and M for meditation to code, cataldvex article from Howard Business Review, individuals who believe their talents can be developed, developed through hard work, through good strategies, and input from others have a growth mindset.

Okay. Number two, that made me read research and create an episode day 14, which is, which was 21 days of exploring your magnificent self, Egg Stem, second letter G, grow with your growth mindset. So I wanted to listen to that. Number three, once I did that, once I did research and started reading, started doing my own independent research, I became curious and started exploring other domains where I can bring in growth mindset, such as my physical, my emotional, my environment, and my relationship areas.

I started asking myself how I can consciously bring myself from fix it to growth mindset in these areas or domains. Number four, to give an example in the physical domain, instead of thinking that doing exercise in the gym is the only way is the only way I created strategies with actionable steps, like in-home workout, which I discussed yesterday, Heather Robertson, 12 week program, watching from YouTube free free resource, vacuuming all rooms, I would commit to myself, I would vacuum all the rooms, this particular day, all the three levels. Okay. So what happened was that would be the substitute for my Stairmaster machine, which I used in gym, doing weights and bending exercises, etc.

To give an example in the emotional domain, I would seriously try the strategies suggested by my life coaches, such as feeling the feelings, give it a give it a name, use their use the tools that are listed by my coach and transform from negative emotions, such as sadness, jealousy, not feeling great, too happy, feeling good enough, filled with gratitude and compassion. Number six, to give an example in the environmental domain, I no longer got irritated when things around me were scattered. I created systems to clear the space by making a list and you all know if you have been listening to my podcast SMT, start my day. I got this from simpleology.

So I wrote bite-sized actionable steps to knock them off one by one. Okay, environmental, let's say for example, I want to clear my basement. So I would say, I know there are so many articles and there are so many video videos and things like that, but see we have human being, you know, when you get inundated by too many information, you do nothing, just procrastinate. So you start, it's the best way in my opinion, the best my experiential wisdom is, find out what makes me more inspired.

Let's say in the in the environment domain, right? So if I think of basement, so I think of, you know, organizing the pantry first and then the books, then something like that. So for books alone, I would say I would make it actionable steps, just remove focus on the top shelf of the books and then and then I will write it actionable, clear action step, give away books which you do not need, keep the books, I'll write to myself, keep the books or sell, I don't sell, I'm very poor in selling. So give away the books, keep the books, dust to the books or you know, give it as donation to operations and attitude, I've done that, I love that.

So something like that. So then if it is area is pantry, then I would, you know, make sure that there are certain things that need to be removed from the, you know, from the bags because you get those things in bags, right? Close to sealed bags, put it in another box containers. So those things are also chose, right?

So but then if it is, if I make it as actionable steps, I put it in my, in my SMD start my day, it happens, it happens. So again, the growth mindset, the fixed mindset is, oh my God, I can't do it. You know, this is too much. I need a servant, I need this person, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, but then the growth mindset is giving myself permission to think differently and create strategies, work hard, no doubt, and then actionable steps.

Okay. Next one is seven. Coming to relationships, to be frank, I consider myself an introvert. But looks like others perceive me as an extrovert.

So doing these podcast episodes allowed me to give myself permission to test others input about me as an extrovert. So as of the time of this writing, so I'm preparing for this podcast, right? So what happened was I gave myself permission to exit out of the fixed mindset. Lolita, you are an introvert or you consider yourself an introvert, Lolita considers herself as an introvert.

I consider myself as an introvert, whatever, to enter into the growth mindset arena. So I, I gave myself permission to visualize myself getting into the growth mindset arena. So what happened? All I had to claim my mind started saying, Oh, go and read about growth mindset, go and research about this.

What it means. And what does it mean to you? What it means by the author or by the creator, whatever. And then what's a dictionary meaning and what is the source and all that blah, blah, blah.

And then what does it mean to me? So I have shared a couple of images where there is a clear, you can go and Google and find out growth mindset and fix it mindset. And you can see there are a lot of images where you have the clear distinction between growth mindset and fix it mindset introvert and extrovert. So here I want to point out that introvert so I say let me read what okay, these are all the qualities of an introvert.

These are all the qualities of an extrovert. So am I introvert as per this publication or whatever, whatever, whatever, go to psychology today, whatever, you know, go to your own independent research. Then I said, yeah, yeah, tick tick tick tick. Yes, out of 10, I think about six or seven, I came into it, definitely.

Then I went to the extrovert site. I'm then three or four of that also, right? So first, I stopped thinking, I got out of the fix of my set mode and then I came to the growth mindset and then I researched. Let's go to the next point.

My research revealed that I do have these four extroverts considered personalities. Number one, I do make decisions quickly in certain aspects of life and business. Yeah, I'm not a pro-crastinator. I'm not a over thinker or something like that in certain aspects, certain life and business decisions.

Number two, I consider myself action oriented absolutely. I consider myself action oriented. So I'm not on the introvert site there. Number three, I do tend to think aloud in certain circumstances.

Yeah, I think quite a lot of circumstances, I think, you know, I just do my own thinking independent thinking after research, but then I do think aloud in certain circumstances. Number four, I do gain energy from other people in some set up like in wedding reception, like in a group of people chanting in a temple. But in certain other crowded areas, maybe I think I don't see myself very, I don't see myself fitting there. Like how the extroverts would may probably fit.

Right? So then that brings me to the last point to conclude. I realized that I am anti, sorry, I'm ambi-word. I'm ambi-word.

And when I say to myself, I consider myself as an ambi-word. I can internalize and attribute to my true self, true self and feel more authentic. Thanks to science of helping course creator and the team. Thanks to Karel Dweck for her teachings on growth mindset.

Thanks to Marc Joyner for simpleology courses. And thanks to anchor team for giving me a platform to do the podcast episodes. With that said, my dear lovely listeners, you have a fantastic day. One more day to go to get my last 51 to 60 points of benefits from doing this podcast series after I turn 60.

With that said, once again, bye bye and you have a fantastic day.
