Sketchy Tuneage Vol. 1

from Sketchy Tuneage Podcast · host Paul Hamill

This is the first ever Sketchy mix, recorded by myself (Rigsy) in the summer of 2003, when Sketchy was a monthly band and DJ night run by myself and Richard Dale at the Menagerie (before it was shut down and then re-opened by David Holmes). It's pretty rough round the edges - I remember doing it totally live (and with only a rough idea of a tracklist) in my kitchen (for some reason!!) on a set of CMX 3000s and an old mixer I had recovered from a skip (absolutely true - never been into mixers TBH). The main thing I remember about this is that when I listened back to it I was gutted it was only half an hour and despite a couple of dodgy mixes, burning copies anyway as the club was on the following night. Good tunes, tho ;-) SKETCHY TUNEAGE VOLUME 1 Intro - King Geedorah Radio 4 - Dance to the Underground Bucketheads - The Bomb Audiobullies - We Don't Care Sugarbabes - Overload Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (Avalanches mix) Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You Candi Staton - Young Hearts Run Free Felix Da Housecat - Silver Screen (Thin White Duke Mix) New Order - Regret The Rapture - House of Jealous Lovers The Lo Fidelity Allstars - Nighttime Story
