In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour. I am your host Raven.

And I am your host, Chad, and we're going to have some other people here a little bit later, and they'll introduce themselves at that time. It's going to be really cool, so stay tuned. Alright, for the business. We don't have any new investigations planned.

We just completed an investigation at Petit neat school. We'll talk about that in a few minutes. And at that investigation, we have had some people that have been to some other investigations before and some new people, which is great. But out of that, we actually got two new postal patrons.

And we're super excited. Thank you, you guys. So we're just waiting for you to get your information back on how you want your shout out done on the podcast and what names you want to go by. If you want to go by your real names or you want to go by some handles, whatever you want to do, let us know and we'll do a shout out to you with your handles and get your names updated on the events, paranormal, supernatural hour website.

If you're not aware, if you are one of our patrons, we just have some extra swag and extra little bling that you get, among other things. But you can go on our Patreon page and see what we've got. But our most favorite thing is our Patreon investigation and potluck. We provide the main dish.

You guys bring the potluck. You hear us talk about this all the time to the point where it's probably redundant and boring, but food has always been amazing. It's never been. Everything was great except for everything.

It's amazing. The investigation is free. And depending on what level of patron did you do, you can bring some guests with you. Every quarter we send you, you know, along with the printed newsletter, you get some really cool swag.

Cool is debatable. But it's fun. It's fun. Actually, one of our patrons, the last little thing we sent out was a really cool teaching.

And the investigation of our patrons had it on his go-tongue and I believe. Oh, it's cool. And he was like, hey, look. And I was like, oh, aww.

Yeah. And those kits go out quarterly. And, you know, we really appreciate it. It's just a small token of our appreciation to the two of our patrons.

So thank you. And we're excited to have our two new ones. And we don't have a new investigation plan. We're in the planning phases of that.

I have to make some phone calls and hopefully we'll have something out there really quickly. Technically, it's planned. We just have to let the venue know that we're doing it. We have a plan.

We just have to coordinate with where we're going. So before we make it public, we will let them know. So hey, guess what? Business has been brought to you by Castle Photo Art and Castle Nature Studio.

Go to Castle for all your photo needs. And with that, I think we're ready to move into what? I need to add one little caveat onto Castle Photo Art. Okay.

So just with everything that's going on, he's had to take a sabbatical. He can't jump back into the podcast with both feet yet. But I'm having to use a new microphone because he does want to start making guest appearances more often than not. So he asked for the microphone back.

And I was using his. So I'm having to get used to it and you like. It's exactly the same model. But it doesn't say castle on it.

I know. But freaks me out because the feng shui is... Fung shui but not both. Although I do have my little pink microphone fuzzy topper.

I said he's not getting that. Nope and he didn't. So that's it for Castle Photo Art and Castle Nature Studio. He does a great job on his voice.

He's the official photographer for Supernatural Hour and Advanced Paranormal and Wisps. Which is all the same group. It's just us. It sounds super fancy.

So we didn't have any residential investigations? Well, we had a little run of them and we've got you all caught up on all the residential we've had. We had one that was a little unusual. A woman wanted to kind of meet with us and based on the nature of some of the things she told me I thought before we do anything I kind of want to meet on some neutral ground.

And so we made arrangements to meet with this client and she never showed up. And just the nature of it is, I don't know, it's either super legit or not. And by that I mean probably if it's actually what it sounds like it could be probably the darkest investigation that we've ever dealt with. Or it could just be someone, we get a lot of people that think, oh, I'm possessed, oh, my house is on the door.

I would say a quarter or maybe not as significant as it may appear to the person. And not because I don't want people to think, oh, they don't take a seriously. No, we do take you seriously. But when things are happening in your home and it's just your home and you don't have 500 people that you've talked to, it can be very, very serious.

And it's very serious to you because of what's going on and it's scary and it's unknown. You don't know what to do about it. So I'm not trying to belittle anybody. We always kind of go into the grain of salt.

Okay, this is what they've told us. This is what we're kind of expecting. And based on the investigation, it's either exactly what I said or maybe not quite as strong as they said or maybe stronger than they thought. It really varies.

But this one where it's probably if it's legit and it's what is being portrayed compared to everything else we've done, it could be very, very dark. But we just, I don't know, it's unknown. It's unknown. She never showed up.

So hopefully maybe in a couple of weeks we might have a really, really good story for you. But I don't know. Okay, then last Saturday night we had a great investigation of the Petitinit school in Payson, Utah. It was a really, it's such a great venue and always active.

Dave, the docent, the guy that helps keep track of everything while we're there was terrific. In fact, didn't he leave something early to come hang out with us? Yeah, he actually was out of town and came back for this. So we're very appreciative to him.

And the reason that we can get in and investigate is because he will do it. He'll open the building for us. Yeah. And we try not to do the same venue too many times because we don't want to overdo it.

But where we had hoped to go this time around, we just couldn't get into it. And it's fairly easy to get into the petitini. So we jumped on that. With that, Dave did tell me that the Payson museum will be opening on Saturdays from like nine until noon.

So it's a great place to go. I believe it's free either. They do take except donations, but it is a great museum with a lot of history with the building and a lot of the different displays that they have in the building. I'm actually going to take my kids because I literally have never taken them.

I've driven past it as we've gone to my parents house. I'm like, hey kids, that's where I went to school, but I've never taken them inside. So. So that will be fun.

But they're just starting that program up with the Saturday. So going out on a Saturday, if you're down in the Payson area and take a look at the Payson petitini school and museum. So with that being said, Raven, you want to tell us about some of the things that went on? So, petitini, every time we've gone, it's been very, very active.

I've never gone, you know, where there's just nothing. And sometimes, I mean, there was sometimes we'd go to family tree, which was very active. And there was once or twice I went and was like, there's just nothing going on here tonight. Payson, or petitini hasn't done that for us yet.

The thing about petitini, this time around, there was an audible scream that everybody in the building heard. So everybody in your group? There were several different groups that also heard the same scream. I guess I didn't hear it.

But it was interesting because it wasn't a loud scream. And it was right towards the end of the night. And when I heard it, we were down in the basement in an area that was just thick, thick stone foundation. And it was right behind me, like someone was standing behind me, kind of a scream.

There was a room that's like, oh, it's possible that it could have come from this room. And so we sent someone to the room to check, but no one was in that room. It's interesting. No one was in that room.

And everybody in our group heard it. And the interesting thing is one of the people in my group later that evening sent to me actually a video recording that they took. They had a visual recorder going, and you can actually hear the scream as an EVP. We were talking to a Native American spirit at the time, and it's a man's scream.

And it's not like an in-pain scream or being killed scream. It's more of a kind of a scream of frustration. Kind of a growly scream? No, not really a growl.

Kind of just like frustrated. You're frustrated and you're just, ah, kind of like that. I would love to be able to play this as an EVP on an EVP episode one of these days, but it's really quiet. And unless you were there, when you heard it in person, it was very loud, very obvious.

When you listen to it in this video recorder, you know, because it's a video that's going, you can hear it, but you can only tell that it's there if you already heard it. But it's interesting because we're talking to the spirit and you're hearing this, you know, this and that and this and blah, blah, blah. And I say, mm-hmm, and then there's like three or four seconds of quiet. And then in that three or four seconds of quiet, right after I say, mm-hmm, you hear this scream.

I mean, if any of you are listening, actually see me in an investigation, hit me up and like you listen to it. But you hear the scream. As soon as the scream ends, there's about one second. And then you hear three or four of us all at the same time say some version of, did you just hear that?

And the interesting thing is, I mean, the scream itself, but let's say you hit me up somewhere, I have you listen to it and you're like, yeah, I don't hear anything. But you can tell there's something because just the fact that at the exact same time, a handful of us say, did you just hear that? And that was kind of cool. Yeah, that was very cool.

But we had a lot of, well, Skyler got scratched. We had a lot of interaction with K2 meters. We really didn't use the Dowsian rods all that much. The people in my group had a lot of interaction with K2 meters and cat balls.

It was a very active night. But I think for me, the scream was probably the coolest thing. Kind of highlight. And before that, we kind of heard a couple things.

We heard some size. And I think I heard three or four different audible things, mostly pretty short, mostly size or maybe a little grown. But that scream was clear as well. Yeah, it was a very cool event.

Everybody had a great time with it. I'm sure we'll be doing that location again just because it's such a phenomenal, healthy and such a phenomenal experience for everybody. Oh, yeah. And we're going to back up later in the year and it's going to be just as good.

Yeah. With that, we're going to talk a little bit about the Skinwalker Ranch. And we have some people with us today that were on one of the episodes last year. I am so excited for this.

And we'll have them introduce themselves here in just a second. The new season of the Mystery of Skinwalker Ranch. I forget exactly. I think so.

I forget the exact title. These three individuals, one of them are very own Emmett, who will be going by his real name. In just a minute, he'll talk to you about that. They were actually in the episode last year.

We're going to talk a little bit about that experience. So with that, we'll start with our main topic. Hey, you know what? Our show today is really cool.

I am super excited for this one. Like we mentioned earlier, we've got some special studio guests. We have our very own Emmett, Chuckards. And then we have with us Rich Tenney and Dave Molten.

And Rich, you are the president and Dave, you are a board member of the Utah Valley Astronomy Club. Now, what on earth does that have to do with paranormal? Only as it relates to us being invited to Skinwalker Ranch. Exactly.

Very cool. Exactly. So there's a series that I'm sure many of you have seen. It's the Secret of Skinwalker Ranch.

The episode we're specifically, Emmett specifically wanted us to mention was scoped out. It's season three, episode four. It aired April of 2022. May.

Oh, it aired in May. It aired May. It aired May of last year. Yeah.

And we just want to hear all about it because as anyone listening to this podcast knows Skinwalker Ranch is like paranormal mecca in some ways. A mecca, maybe not the mecca, but it's one of many mecca's. For Utah, it's mecca. Most of our listeners know me as Emmett, but tonight I'm Chuck Hards.

That's one of the three astronomers who were on that episode. Rich, why don't you tell us exactly how the show got in touch with you and how it went? Yeah. So I got a cold call and it was actually to my home phone, which I never typically answered that phone.

What's a home phone? Right? Well, because I used to work for a phone company, they basically gave me an account and they never did turn it off after I left them. Score.

I have a voice phone that's in my house and I give that number out. I've had it for forever and I give it out to people that I don't really want contacting me otherwise. But I just happened to be going through my messages and I got this message from somebody who identified himself and I don't remember his name off the top of him, but he was one of the producers of the show and was reaching out to me because my contact information was on the internet associated with the local astronomy club. And he thought we need to get some amateur astronomers here to help us with doing this episode.

So I called him back and as I talked to him, it became clear what he had in mind and I immediately thought of Chuck and Dave and reached out to them to see if they were interested in participating and then we said, can we bring our significant others and they said, you mean your assistants? I said, yes. So at least a couple of us brought our spouses along and they put us up in a hotel in Bernal. That was an exciting nightlight.

Yeah, it was fun. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

Yeah. Bernal Bernal's in. It was a fun adventure and they filmed us over a couple of days, probably, I don't know, a dozen hours at least maybe worth of actual filming. But the edited segment ended up being what, 15, 20 minutes?

Yeah, something like that. It was definitely not, you know, there was a lot that happened that definitely didn't make it to the broadcast. That does sound like ghost hunting. It would go for hours.

That's only 20 minutes of interesting. Yeah. People talk about, you know, the show not being genuine, but having been there, what they presented was actually a pretty faithful distillation of events of that night. I agree.

Correct. It's like the ghost shows. You know, when we go out on public investigations, you know, we're out there for four hours and you might get, you know, a few hits and a few things that are paranormal-ish. Yeah, if we get a half out, if we were to, not like, it's not like we put together a TV show, but if we had to put together a TV show, if we investigated for four hours, we'd probably have 10 minutes worth of something interesting.

Yeah. Yeah. They're legit scientists. No question about that.

They're also performing entertainment. And so there's some things that were sensationalized. But for the most part, it was a pretty faithful rendition of some of the things that went down and some of the unusual things that we encountered while we were there. You know, the thing that I told several people this and I still believe it, I didn't really know what to expect.

Obviously, I've never been on TV before and I'd never been part of that kind of a production. And I, you know, so I spent some time wondering what are these, what are the, especially what are the TV personalities that ones that are on camera can actually be like when the camera's not rolling. And I have to say that they were really, really nice people. Everybody was really nice.

And on and off camera, I had a lot of fun conversations. My wife had several fun conversations with several of them and they're nice folks. And we took our breaks. We ate our meals with these people and spoke with them at length.

And they, you know, all of them except Travis Taylor, you know, are from the area. They're Utahns. They've lived and worked here. Caleb's from Idaho, but he lives and works now in Utah.

And they're genuine people. You know, they're not, they're not fake Hollywood personalities. They're all connected in one way or another with the owner of the ranch, Brandon Fugle. But they're genuine people and they work very hard at what they do.

Yeah. Yep. So, a little, I don't know, Kevin Bacon. What do you call that?

Seven degrees of separation or whatever. Yeah. We have one degree of separation from Brandon Fugle. Chad, tell us your connection there.

My Brandon Fugle connection? Mm-hmm. I was Brandon's Sunday school teacher when he was 12. Wow.

Wow. And kind of to give a little more on the story, I was at BYU football game and this was a few years back in the concession line. And I got a tap on the shoulder and I turned around and there's this guy and he goes, are you brother Thomas? I love it.

And I said, yes. And he said, I'm Brandon Fugle. I was in your class when I was 12. Wow.

So, you know that we're going to kind of check up with that connection. For sure. But it was nice that he reached out to me because I would have had no idea. You know what?

That guy that's 12 and now he's in his, you know. You know, this is another example of Utah just being really a small place. It turns out that Brian Arnold-Dragon from the show, he and I have the same urologist. Well, I was, I was, I walked under the mailbox today.

I'm not making this up. And as I was walking back to my house, my neighbor across the street who's a professional roofer, he owns his own roofing business. I told him what I was doing tonight and he said, oh, I've met Brandon several times and you know, we've run into each other so we know who each other are. And I just thought, yeah, this is a small world.

It's very small. And I was, here's why. I was at a couple of months ago, I was at a wedding reception down the street, not very far away. And a guy that I used to be my neighbor and I've known him for a long time, but I hadn't talked to him in probably two or three years.

He was his daughter that was getting married and he walked up to me and he said, Brandon Fugle and I have been talking about you. Okay. We went on vacation to Greece together. Wow.

Wow. So Chuck, are you and I the only people that don't have a Brandon Fugle story? I see his name on signs all over. I tried friending him on Facebook and he won't give me the time of day.

So I guess I'm out in the cold there. Brandon, I'm here. I worked for you. You paid me.

I'm here. All right. So just a second ago, you mentioned, well, it's been a few seconds ago, you mentioned some of the interesting things that you saw and that had happened out there. So do tell.

Who wants to start? You know, you guys go ahead. These guys have heard my story a hundred times, but you guys go ahead because you know, we were all there and the same thing happened to all of us. But let's hear your take.

Let me tell the story. And this isn't something that happened when we were there, but I think it might be a good story to tell. Probably about two years before we did this, I was invited. My wife has a cousin that lives in Vernal and she was getting married and we were invited to the wedding and they asked me if I would bring my telescope and just give a little star party during the wedding reception, which was fun.

Very cool. I'd be happy to do it. And it was at the edge of Vernal, so it was, you know, fairly dark place. It was pretty good.

So I've got this telescope set up and this is a guy that's lived in Vernal all his life and they were 40s. So there were a lot of people at this wedding reception and many of them passed by my telescope and like every other person that passed by my telescope said, well, you know, that's going to walk a ranch. And at that point, I'd never heard that place. I had no idea what they're talking about.

And I started getting stories of people. I was driving down that road and something shaped like a wolf ran in front of the car and all of a sudden it was up on two legs and looking at me and crazy stuff. So as soon as rich sends me a text, you want to be on TV? I'm like, yeah, I suppose I do it.

And then he said, it's going to walk a ranch and I'm like, oh, yeah, I need to go there. Oh, yeah. You hear those stories? Exactly.

So really quickly, before we can continue on with the stories, we have a lot of listeners in Utah, but we have a lot of listeners in other countries. So for those of you that aren't super up on your eutotogography, Vernal is a little itty bitty speck of a town. And if you're from Vernal, yeah, you're little when you're thinking in world terms, okay? Yeah, Beijing, Vernal.

Yeah. Nothing in Utah is that big on the world scale. Vernal is just a tiny, tiny town, very famous for the dinosaur course. And it's very, very close to Skidwalker Ranch.

So there you go. Back to the stories. Yeah. So for me, I hadn't really heard of Skidwalker Ranch before this whole episode either.

I consider myself a pretty skeptical person. And so I felt like going there, I was going to be as objective as I could be. But I have to say, and the three days I was there, I don't know that I had any non-astronomical paranormal experiences at the ranch, but we definitely encountered some strange things in this guy that we don't have a good explanation for. One of them was, I guess I was the first person to spot it, but I saw what looked like a slow-moving bright satellite that changed direction in a way that it shouldn't have.

Yeah, satellites don't normally do that. No. And when we put some optics on it, it didn't look like what we expected either. And this is something that you normally see and recognize as the astronomy.

Oh, all the time. We see satellites all the time. Oh, yeah. See, I, in an earlier episode that we did just a few weeks ago, I talked about, I worked at an observatory in Cedar City for S.U.U.

when I was down there. And yeah, satellites, they just move and they're very distinctive. You can tell the difference between a satellite and airplane very easily. And they don't move.

They just, I mean, they don't move at their direction. Yeah, you can't even call them predictable because they never are unpredictable. They're in an orbit and they just move at the same speed and the same direction. And you guys can correct me if I'm wrong because this has been a hot minute or two since I've done this.

But the only time a satellite looks any different is if the sun just catches it on one of its little vectors, it might flare up really bright. Exactly. But that's the only thing it does. Yeah.

Yeah, normally it's a point source of light. It's you can't resolve anything on it with the lens unless you've got something pretty powerful to contract it. But the thing that I stuck in my mind about what Rich saw that we all saw was that it wasn't a point source. It was a blob.

I personally couldn't find any detail in it, but it was not a point source. It was a... It was round. Yeah, it was almost the same apparent size on the sky as the planet Jupiter, which is big.

That's huge. It's like a minute of arc. Yeah. And I think...

Yeah, it was. We had tried to image with some very expensive gear all night. We're unsuccessful. And the only...

I think the only cameras we got on this thing when it came up were a couple of psionics night vision cameras handheld, the ranch had one, and I had brought mine. And Travis Taylor and I just happened to grab those when Rich noticed this thing flying over. And if it wasn't for those handheld cameras, I don't think we would have gotten any footage of that at all. What kind of iteration was it?

Oh, minutes. That was the other thing. It lasted longer than a satellite. Especially because it was in the south.

It wasn't like it went over the whole dome of the sky. It was in the south. So the arc was shorter. Right.

It should not have been visible for that long, but it was. So that would lend us to believe it traveled slower when it was closer to the Earth. You could actually in the camera as I was filming this. And I think they actually used my footage on the show.

But I could see it getting larger and larger and larger as it approached. And then when it was at its closest to us overhead and started drifting away again, it started getting smaller again. So that tells me this was fairly close in the atmosphere. This was not in orbit.

Well, right now there's in the news, there's a lot of going on with the UFOs with the balloons. And it, not something like that probably. I mean, no way. I don't think so.

And then as I'm saying, you guys are the observers. We didn't hear any audio like normal aircraft would make. Either helicopter or close flying aircraft. There was none of that sound that was apparent.

Last summer there was a balloon over Utah County and Salt Lake County too. And it was, you know, naked eye was a strange sight because it actually didn't move at all. Very, very little interceptively. I got good shots of that, Dave.

Yeah, you got to go in for a minute. And I got something. We're as good as yours. But as soon as you got a decent lens on it, it was fairly obvious what it was.

But in this said, nothing like that. That was like the exclamation point balloon, right? Yeah. Yeah.

I remember seeing your photos. Yeah, this was nothing like that. And that was not the only one we saw. We saw two or three of those.

Yeah, we did. But not like the one that we filmed. The one we filmed was probably the best apparition of all. And it was just amazing.

Wow. And you haven't observed things similar in your other astronomy? Astronomy? Astronomy?

Not astrology. Not before then, but since then, you know, I do have a small paranormal group on Facebook myself. And one of my members caught an identical object, actually, over daybreak. Just a few weeks after that episode aired in May of last year.

And they actually got some really good footage. And it was closer to them because when we blew it up, there was detail. And the black dot, Travis mentioned in the show, was very apparent in the center. So you mentioned black dot.

What time did you, what time of day was it that you caught this? Was it dark outside or does scare? Yeah, this was way up. This was like, it was after astronomical twilight, certainly.

Yeah, it was before midnight, I think. It was late. Between the afternoon, I think. Yeah.

Yeah, we've been trying an experiment all night. It just didn't work. Didn't work. Didn't work.

And everybody basically came back to the homestead and command center. And then suddenly Rich notices this thing in the south that was, didn't the cows get all upset before it showed up? They did. Yep.

You remember the cattle heard to the south of the head? In fact, a few of the security guys went out into the field to see if they could see what was spooking the cows. Yeah, yeah. That's right.

That can't be handed to them. Oh, wow. That's interesting. They won't let you go anywhere by yourself without an armed guard.

And it's not because they're worried about skin walkers getting you, but there are mountain lions and predators and they're attracted to the livestock. So, you know, it could be a hazardous place late at night, but they do have this sort of cattle on the ranch that are, they belong to a neighboring rancher and they let them feed their range there range there, but they're actually, you know, used as part of the experiment because the cattle do seem to be sensitive. That's interesting. You know, if there's been any cattle mutilations or anything, that's part of this.

And I was going to say that might, you know, that that phenomenon or behavior, you know, may incite that in the cattle. That's what kind of what I think. So, at least one documented that I know of since Brandon has owned the ranch and there were more before his ownership to. And this is mutilation that's not like a coyote or...

Right. Right. It's like surgical precision. Wow.

There's an episode and I don't remember which one, but there's an episode in the first season of... I don't know if I would call it a mutilation, but it was a very unexplained death of one of their cows that they couldn't explain. So, predators wouldn't touch it for a year after it just laid there and rotted and nothing... No predator ever touched it, which is finally a beauty.

Yeah, that's what it was. Yeah. It may be of interest to the listeners that, you know, when we made the agreement to come to the ranch that we signed these... Non-disclosures?

Well, not only that, but waivers saying if anything happens to you, death or mutilation or any kind of bad accident, we're not liable and we're not responsible. And you sign here and agree that you're willing to take those risks. So, I've never seen anything like that before. Wow.

I mean, you know, on our ghost hunts, we have waivers that basically say the same thing, you know, to protect us and the venue. And the venue. You know, if you fall and break your leg, you're on your own. And we have a little thing in there, you know, if you're possessed, we'll be more pest to help you get un-possessed.

But, yeah, that's... They did warn us when we came on the ranch that certain people will take a piece of the ranch home with them. And some of you know that I did. Yes.

We hitchhiker. You go hitchhiker. I do. I have a hitchhiker.

I still have my Virginia City hitchhiker. He turned my light on last night and played music. Okay. Little sidebar.

Give a little information on that. We'll get to a new interest morning. So if you haven't listened to our Virginia City podcast yet for shame, you should go listen to it. It's a cool one.

I brought home a hitchhiker. His name is Joe, after a little Joe from Ananza. I was little. He was hot.

So Michael Landon, for those of you that don't know, he was hot. Well, Michael Landon was hot. Anyway, I digress. So his name is Joe.

And this light right here. She is pointing straight up at the light for our listeners. Has turned on by itself three times now, despite itself. And my dad can rise out.

I have a chat. He's still here. He'll leave when he's ready. But last night it turned on by itself again.

And literally there were two people. And there was me and my son. And I thought he was downstairs in his bedroom. And I'm sitting on the bed, the light turned on.

I'm like, hey, Joe. And not two minutes later, I heard Westminster chimes. Which go? In my hallway.

It's the doorbell. Just that much. And it sounded like it came from my daughter's bedroom. It wasn't outside.

It wasn't downstairs. It was in my hallway. And so I thought, what has she got going on in her bedroom? And she was in a neighbor's house.

And so I went there was nothing on. So I went downstairs. And I thought, I had done some stuff in my ring app. And I thought, well, did I switch the chimes?

I was on my doorbell. So I went down, rained the doorbell. No, it's the same. Just your ringing doorbell sound.

And then I heard my son. He was downstairs in his bedroom. He was just in the living room. So I said, did your video game make a Winchester chime sound?

And he's like, no. And I thought, even if it did, I mean, if I heard that, I would have heard other things from a video game. So yeah, I think it was Joe. That's cool.

That's cool. Sorry. Nothing to do with skilof or whatever. We do this all the time though.

That's fine. All right. Were there any weird fields or? It just amazed me that they whatever was happening, OK, it was like, things were happening to us that were shutting us down very specifically.

And it seemed to me that whatever it, you know, I'm going to say, I'm going to assume there was an intelligence behind this. It knew what was going on at the most granular, detailed level and had control of everything in our physical world around us. You know, if things could go wrong, they did. And they did.

And they did, like right when they needed to go wrong or from their point of view, it was. I didn't know what to say or do. Equipment that had worked fine for me for 10 years, suddenly wasn't working. Just when I went to use it.

And I essentially had the same problem that you did. And I do have that problem from time to time, but I can always correct it. And I could not correct it that night. Did your database come back, Dave, after you left the rent?

Yeah, I, yeah. Yeah, I, yeah. Although, well, I will admit I ended up selling that mount sometime later. But that's really typical.

That's just really typical. Because again, just referring to Virginia City, we had batteries draining that were fully charged. And they drained within 10 minutes of being there. We had cameras that we'd set up that would come on, recording all of us in the room, and then it shuts off after two minutes.

And then restarts. There's zero explanation. And it wasn't just one camera. It was two.

One camera you go, OK, there was a little glitch. But we had two cameras owned by two separate people that both turned. This was down in the museum when we went up. They both turned off and back on.

We had kind of spotted some activity in a doorway area in this museum where we were staying. And so they set it up. And then we went upstairs to investigate the upper two floors. And I just said, hey, we just let this run.

And when we came back, everybody well went up together and everything. And what was about 10 minutes after we went upstairs? It stopped. I think one of them stopped after two minutes.

And then we started. And the other one stopped at 15 or 16 minutes. And that's weird. Because nobody came down until we came down as a group.

And I could see them turning off. But then to start back up when there was nobody down there. Overall, feelings on the skin walk around. When you were there, did you ever feel like you was looking over your shoulder?

Did it feel heavier than other places? Or was it just another night looking at the sky? I personally didn't get any sense of that. So I think it was on the last night of filming.

And this was part of the filming that was not definitely not shown at all, really represented. We were on the road. We were on the road. Yeah.

OK. I was working on my scope, getting it going. And there was a call. When they do these shoots all night, they break for dinner at mid-times, like midnight and stuff like that.

And they broke for dinner. And I'm ADD. So I was hyper-focused on what I was doing. And all of a sudden, I realized I was the only one on the road standing there.

So I didn't wander off on my own. But I did end up on my own without a bodyguard. And that was probably about, and at that point I decided I was just going to stay. I wasn't frankly, I wasn't hungry.

So I didn't really want to go eat. And so I spent probably about a half an hour alone on that road. And I was looking over my shoulder. I really felt like, I'm trying to decide, I think that would have been south of that road.

I think that road goes east to west. Correct. So it would have been south of that road. It really felt to me like there was something out there.

And I don't know what it was. Now, Chuck, I know that you didn't go out to do paranormal. This was an astronomical. Investigation or outing?

But I know that you did take out a little bit of equipment. I did. I have to say, when Rich called me about this, and I said, Rich, call him back. We're doing this.

Yes, yes. This is my make-a-wish. But I did take an SOS camera onto the ranch. And one night when we were having dinner in the command center, I took it out and set it up.

We found a stick figure sitting in Eric's chair in the command center, which reminded me of the one we found in my office at work. I don't know if you remember that. Yeah, I do. That was amazing.

And there were several others just hanging out there in the common area with the conference table. Eric actually sleeps on a couch right there next to the conference table when he's up there. But we were having dinner and Travis walks in and said, what's that? And I explained it to him.

And I said, you want to borrow it? And he said, yeah, yeah. So he grabbed it and went out. It was gone maybe, I don't know, 20, 25 minutes.

And we're just sitting there talking and eating. And Eric was there. We just talked about our families, you know, what you do. And he came in afterwards and Eric said, well, did you find anything?

He put that thing down on the table and said, oh, yeah. And that's all he said about the whole experience. But yeah, I felt a lot of things while I was there. I think I was running on adrenaline for about three days and three nights.

It was just such an amazing experience. But I did. I felt too, you know, there was something else at the ranch that was separate from whatever we were sent there to investigate. There's something, there's something earthly, and there's something, you know, having to do with the expert terrestrial.

And I'm no expert. I just tell you what I feel. But I think these things have access to some of the same planes and dimensions. But they're not working together.

You know, I think there's a lot of beings that have access to multiple dimensions. And most of them have their own agenda. But I definitely felt a lot of activity there. And I can't say what it was due to, but places highly, highly charged.

That's awesome. We actually did a residential in Vernal. Well, it's been a long time ago. I went out with Laura and Jade.

And it was in Vernal. But even Vernal, I knew some close enough vicinity to Skinwalker Ranch. There's some energy in that part of the state for sure. I've spoken to some of the neighbors of Skinwalker Ranch.

And they see the same things. You know, you don't have to actually be on the ranch to see the UFO's fly over. But somebody has purchased property adjacent to Skinwalker Ranch and established a campground, a subscription campground, where you can go pull up your camper, your trailer, and stay the night right next to the ranch. And I've told the people see things there too.

But that would mean you'd have to be camping. And I know how much you have camping. Camping is a Motel 6. I would just pull up a lawn chair and sit there all night.

So I would need to set up camp. Okay, so we probably should wrap up. Any other things we want to say about Skinwalker Ranch before we cut to some other stuff? I can't wait to go back.

Yeah, I think we're going to try to use our connection to get in there. Well, you know, last six months ago, I reconnected with the cast. I went up to Phenomicon in Bernal just for the day just to network and meet some people and just reconnect with the cast. And so I talked to Travis, and they have some ideas for further experiments.

And they may be calling us back. Actually the year of the season we were there, they did want us back. But Travis came down with COVID. And so they had to limit the number of people that were on the ranch.

And so they had to cancel that experiment with having astronomers back. But I'm hoping we can do that again. So we'll see what happens. That would be awesome.

So did you guys have any personal paranormal stories you'd like to share? Yeah, I actually have a couple that I can share. And one of them actually even involves a Skinwalker, even though that wasn't part of our experience at the ranch. Seeing it all just, the universe just comes together.

So I have two daughters that are very sensitive to paranormal activity. And this happened shortly after I purchased the house that I'm living in now. The kids actually knew some of the previous owners and used to go over there and play with the kids. And they said there was always kind of a not a good spirit or feeling in that house.

They'd had multiple feelings like that playing there. But in this particular instance, my youngest daughter sleeping in her room, her older sister at that point had moved out of the house, got married and was living down the street from us. My youngest woke up in the middle of the night one night and saw a present standing at the foot of the bed near the closet that radiated kind of this malevolent feeling towards her. And she was terrified and had that experience of paralysis where she felt like she couldn't move.

She was just kind of glued to the bed and was unable to move and just completely terrified in that situation. And after some time passed, the entity disappeared and she was able to go back to sleep, but she was pretty shook up from that. The next day she was telling her sister about it and her sister said, well, let me come over. So the sister came over to the house and they went up to the bedroom and the middle daughter, Kelly.

And the person as my youngest Kelly, his older sister had brought her little dog Gus with her and they came up the stairs into the bedroom and Gus, who's normally a really calm, you know, not sensational dog, not a barker. Immediately the hair bristled on his back, facing the closet and started growling and snarling at the closet. And both girls were like, oh my gosh, what is going on here? And then on another occasion, Kirsten was painting her bedroom because she didn't like the color in there.

And Kelly came over to help her and as they were painting, they suddenly had this shared feeling that there was this entity was nearby and they both said to each other, are you feeling what I'm feeling right now? That there's something, some haunting going on here and they said yes and right at that minute the door slammed shut and there was no open windows, there was no breeze in the house and anything like that that would cause that to happen. So that freaked them out. They both ran out of the house and very shook up and then asked me to come up there and kind of perform a blessing, a ritual blessing on the house to get rid of that spirit and it seemed to have worked.

They didn't have any encounters after that. You know, we did an episode, well, it's been a while ago on sleep paralysis and there are some situations, but when you get the sleep paralysis moment and then you get the dog barking and then you get the door slamming, same place, three different instances, it's like, no, that wasn't a standard medical sleep paralysis. Yeah, that's correct. And when I, it wasn't an incident to itself, there was corroborating evidence that led credence to it.

Thankfully, you know, recently Chuck came over to my house with some of his paranormal gear and did a complete sweep of the house. We found a couple of entities, non-hostile entities, I guess. I don't know how you describe them, Chuck. Type I?

Well, it just seemed like, they seemed like resident human spirits to me. Friendlies? They were friendlies. Yeah, they weren't, they weren't type 3s.

They were just human spirits and, you know, in a position. And there was nothing in the closet. Right. Yeah.

That at least had been purge. But we did get interaction with him. We got, we documented it. Yeah.

And, you know, I basically gave, gave Rich and his daughter the gear and just followed them around with the cell phone trying to video what was going on. So it wasn't even me holding the gear. It was those who came to the house. We found one by the front door, one up in my, up in the master bedroom and we found at least one outside by one of the trees outside.

Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So fast forward until a few years ago, my daughter Kelly is now living in California near the Bay Area.

She currently is a Sunnyvale veteran in her house that was a few miles away from there up in the hills there where it was a fairly rural area. There were wild animals that were frequent in her, her yard. One night she's laying in bed, sleeping, her newborn baby Romeo is sleeping next to her. The baby wakes up crying.
