Skincare Secrets: What Really Works and How to Slow Down Skin Aging

from The Alli Worthington Show · host Alli Worthington

Welcome to the health series. In the next few weeks, I'll have so many guests sharing all they know about health. I'll also do my shows and share my health journey with you.  I have a lot to share. I'm not an expert in anything. I'm just somebody who's trying to get healthier, right? I have spent the last year getting in shape, taking care of myself, lowering my stress, and doing everything I can to help me feel better. After a whole year of experimenting, I want to share it with you.  I’m so excited, I put together a free resource for you of everything I'm talking about. What to use, how to use it, what causes aging, and what you can do that’s science backed and research tested to lessen aging. It’s in the show notes here, the YouTube description, the link is in my profile on Instagram. Because skincare and anti-aging are so huge, we will break this show into two parts. We're gonna do half today and half next week, or else it's just gonna be the longest show ever for just you and me.    Favorite quotes:  09:10 - quote from Alli - “If you're spending hundreds of dollars on skincare and you're not getting any results, ask your doctor or dermatologist for a prescription for a type of retinal-A.” 11:11 - “Collagen is like the scaffolding that holds our skin up. It's keeping it firm and smooth.” 11:52 - “Sun exposure, stress, and poor sleep will speed up this breakdown of collagen.” 14:41 - “Over time, using red light therapy will reduce fine lines, reduce wrinkles, and it will improve your skin texture.” 17:36 - “Collagen is everything. Everything that we've talked about so far is to trick our skin as we age to create the one thing that's going to help us age well at whatever pace that is for us.”   Things I love and think you will too:  Clinique Wash All About Clean   Clinique Moisture Surge    Primal Kitchen Chocolate Coconut Collagen Peptide Drink Mix   Frownies  Alli's Guide to Everything You Need to Know about Skincare  Create a Course Remaining You While Raising Them Alli on YouTube Little Things Studio   Hope you loved this episode!  Make sure to hit that subscribe button on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
