Director Catherine Legault explains how she became friends with Laurence, bringing a new perspective to their art, and why it's important to show that everyone's journey is different.Complicated shares the painful story of kids suffering from Ehler’s-Danlos Syndrome, a disease that is too complicated for mainstream medicine, causing them to be passed around, abandoned, and in some cases accused of faking their illness.
