#SlamRadio - 552 - Lakej

from Slam Radio · host Slam

Born and bred in the suburbs of Stockholm, Lakej (Filip Ström) comes from a background in visual arts and graphic design. After many years in this field and some life changing experiences, he felt the need to move on to a more abstract medium. Already being fascinated by electronic music and techno in particular, the dive into production and hardware came natural. With a huge love for details and rhythmic structures his music has evolved into an introspective, futuristic and yet timeless sound. With intricate textures, atmospheres and deep driving rhythms his music invites you to be swept away into hypnotic states, both in comfort of your own listening space as well as on the dance floor. After debuting on the scene in 2017 with a full length EP on Adriana Lopez label Grey Report, his output has been steady with albums, EP’s and tracks for different VA releases and remixes on well established labels such as Semantica and NON series. Most resent is a full length double vinyl LP for Nachtstrom Schallplatten. Later this year an EP is planned for Argentinian label Ucker, some single tracks for different VA projects and some remixes.
