This is the inaugural lecture for the Illuminate Lecture Series, a public-lecture event hosted and produced by Church of the Holy Trinity: An Anglican Mission in Mandeville, LA.Our inaugural lecture was given by Dr. Archie England (PhD, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary), Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew occupying the J. Wash Watts Chair of Old Testament and Hebrew at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. England presented on "Slavery in the Bible: What Does Jesus Say About It?".The Illuminate Lecture Series demonstrates how Jesus Christ is the Light that reveals and makes visible—illuminates—all truth, goodness, and beauty in the world.
