This may be surprising to hear, but this is by far my favorite portion of the letter of Colossians. Building up to this morning's passage, Paul has been giving quick instructions to wives, husbands, children and parents. However, the instructions to “slaves and masters” are abnormally long by comparison. Paul slows down and seems to pay special attention to the roles of slave and master. Hence, we are going to slow down in this series and spend an entire message trying to understand where Paul is going with "slaves and masters"... and I’ll bet it will absolutely shock you.
