How are you? How are you? I'm very good. Valentin Quetz is a real estate broker here with a Valentin Quetz real estate company.
We have also our guest here. Samba, hello, hello. We have an interesting guest. Part of the family.
Exactly. This is a family-oriented real estate broker too. You don't have to show an uptick on the onion. It took me some heat.
We keep going. But this is still looking fine. I think so. Yeah.

So as I was saying, we're here with Valentin Quetz. He's the real estate broker at the family office, real estate broker in Paris. They also have a network show called the Agency. Yes.
I'm a little bit of what you guys are doing. Thank you for coming here. Beautiful house family. This is unbelievable.
Thank you for coming here. It's too weird. So definitely a little bit about how this all started. So it's a real family business.
So I work with my parents and my brothers. And we currently have a third agent helping us, all over France. Super. And we really started all together.
So my parents wanted to change. My mom used to be a teacher at school and my dad was working in a big company and he's always wanting to set up his own thing. And then I was studying engineering, my brother marketing, the other one, like kind of social networking. So we all had different skills.
And so we created this thing all together. And it started in buying this house where we lived in, which has a lot of history because a lot of politicians. 15 years already. Yeah.
15 years we've been here. And the house was built in 1930s. The gold from our president of France was coming here. So it has been all of our energy.
And I think it had the unbelievable. Like the moment that I walked into this house, I could already feel that. I'm excited. I'm not all in your family.
It feels like going to a house. Yeah, it is. And on top of that, you have a great beautiful set up. You guys are working on some of the most incredible homes here in Paris.
I mean, you gotta say what you're doing. And now tie it up with the Netflix show, which has been a success. You're currently doing the second season, right? Yes, we are shooting season two.
We are about to finish the shooting, which we have. Some surprises here. Exactly. We are very excited about it.
I think it's even better than season one. And yeah, we worked a lot on these. So it was in some because it's like, you know, coordinating both, you know, having clients on TV. It's not always easy.
So yeah, it's great. But it's great. We'll just say that was the hardest part to keep it super real with the real clients and everything. Yeah, I think, no, for season one, it was kind of how to, you know, tell them, okay, let's do it in the show because they did not know what we were going to do.
But now, since season one is online and I think they pretty much like it, it's easier and easier to get clients in the show. How has that helped you guys grow the business? Because I'm sure it's been an amazing market in Europe. Yeah, I have to say it's really, really something to be on Netflix itself.
It's from another world, you know, so we've been, but it's a lot of work because it's come from everywhere. So you need to focus on the right things. But for sure, it helped us a lot. Since season one, we have 15 agents working with us, 15 more agents working with us.
We're going to need a bigger house. Good things. They don't come at the same time and they are all of our friends. That's good.
But yeah, and it comes from everywhere in the world, dealing with amazing people even more than before. So it's a great adventure. Yeah, it's a great adventure. We don't really.
The question that a lot of the people watching today will be, how did you get started? Because I understand the business part of it. But how do you translate this family generation of business into Netflix? Well, I think we have, you know, working fine in the same family.
It's pretty rare. Plus the grandmother that helped us. Plus the youngest brother that's still studying. But in the story also.
So we've been thinking, and every day we have amazing stories without clients. And we are like, we've been thinking for years. Okay, we have to share these stories because it's crazy. So we were like, what should we do to show this?
And we were thinking of a show. But first we did not really know how to, you know, which trip you are, which format it's going to be. So we sat down with the production company and did a trailer. And then by step we were like, okay, we want to do this.
The rest is history. Exactly. Now, for season two, I believe why I encourage everybody to watch it on Netflix is super fun, very to the point. And you know, it's that element that I haven't seen in any of these real stage shows because it's a family.
Yeah, it's so unique and I love it. You guys trust me. And I believe that at the end of the day, it's such a stressful industry. And just buying your first house or selling your property or it might be a little bit stressful sometimes.
But when you work with a family and the energy is there, it makes everything much easier. Yeah, exactly. As you say, I think they feel that we went through that and we go through that also as a family. So clients feel more comfortable, I think.
And yeah, it's great. But we are very lucky. Very good. Tell me a little bit about the real estate market currently here in Paris.
Here in Paris, post-COVID, it's just amazing. So the loan rates are very, very low. The lowest. So I think it has never been.
That's lovely. It's crazy. People from all over the world that weren't able to come here for two years are very excited to come and to buy because they've been thinking about it for two years and they were blocked. So yeah, we are very, very busy now and we have clients from everywhere.
So yes, they are always with an Italian client. You just have to know they have an American client coming over. It's crazy. And we're now during fashion here in Paris.
And I personally haven't seen this ever at all. It's so good. There's so many people, so great energy. I mean, it's like me back.
Exactly. But again, after I was gone. But everybody comes in with a better energy with that. And I was like, I'm not going to try for some, this is really good for the real estate.
It's very good. Very good. And there is a little bit more offers than before, but not that much. So it's still very attractive for buyers.
And yeah, as I say, the loan rates are so low that this money is almost free. So yeah, it's great. We are very excited. And I think everyone is so happy.
I've done this crisis. We were not expecting a, you know, a name like this. And so it's super, yeah, it's a happy time now. I love it.
Now let me ask you because the end of you always are so positive. And I see some details. I mean, I said, walking into this house already. Thank you.
And I say, give me a pair. I write here automatically. Oh, you want to use one, there's that. It's amazing.
So what's the formula? How do you keep yourself so positive? Well, the formula, I think it's... Yeah.
There is a formula to keep it positive whatever happens because it's a could be a tough industry, you know, bad news. Good news. It's every five minutes. It could change very fast.
So you've got to stay, keep your mind, you know. And I mean, how can I not be happy in the morning and leave my wife and my kid to go to my parents to see my brother and to work all together. That's okay. And I think it's like, you know, a lot of sponsors on the side to, you know, sometimes they're not thinking about it.
I don't know. We have the tennis time in that. We have the tennis time in that. We have the tennis time in that.
Oh, biggest lesson. What's your biggest lesson throughout all the story? Biggest lesson is, well, not to say it right until it's signed for sure. Oh my God.
Everybody can relate to that one. Yeah, I think it's great to have time for yourself. And if you are in a good state of mind, you throw the good energy to people. So whatever you need, if you need time, if you need to work out, if you need personal time because your clients, your family needs, your colleagues, everyone's going to feel the energy.
And if you transfer the wrong one, it's going to be, you know, and if you transfer the position. So I love it. That only works exactly. Now we always ask this question on our S.O.D.
meetups. And we're here in Paris. Everything looks so glamorous. So let me ask you, what is really luxury to you?
Well, Luxor is working as part of your family for sure. That's the very sort of, to do what we want to do. You know, and we still want to keep it, like, of course we want to grow, but we want to keep it quite, you know, quite small and still, you know, family, even if we have agents, which I want to be an extended family, because we can take decisions just, you know, in an hour, you know, and that's what everyone likes. Our agents like, they want to change something on our website, on our back of fees, on our marketing.
We just do stuff about it, tell me, it's there. We don't need to go, you know, as a process and this is literally to do what you want to do. And you can, you know, yeah, you decided something in the morning, you had that idea, in the afternoon, you can not. Yeah, tell me that this is really luxury.
Love it, love it. Now this is great. Now what can we see moving forward for the credit families? Well, besides season two, just not one, two, it's going to be, I don't have a precise date, but I would mostly say beginning of 2022.
Perfect. So those that haven't watched the show, Star Wars is one of them. Carry on, season two. And we have amazing new clients in season two, which show a bit more about the different France areas, of course, a lot of Paris, but yeah, it's going to be a lot of different landscapes.
We are very looking in France to a quite small country, so yeah, compared to the US, but it's very, you know, and diverse. So many different areas, exactly. But in Spain, you know, you have small country with all these different areas. Yeah, it's so very like the sea, the mountains, the river, and a lot of history again.
