Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another episode of Jimmy Dap. Happy Monday. I hope everybody had a fantastic weekend. Now, it's very exciting what we're going to be doing today because we're going to bring into our show Jessica Markowski.

She's a New York real estate agent as well as a model and content creator. She's going to be telling us all about how to combine both worlds and make it so successful. Besides that, we'll be touching based on some of the latest trends in the real estate, market in New York as well as the new techniques on how to leverage your personal branding to position yourself as an authority that feels as well as to promoting your product. So very exciting about this.

There we go. Great. How are you? What's happening, Jessica?

How are you doing? Good. Happy Monday to you. I see that you're back in New York after a very wonderful holiday birthday celebration in Aspen.

Yeah. It's like, I'm known for this. Every January, I celebrate my birthday, every day. Oh my God, I love it.

Why not? I'm going to do that. Come on. There's too many reasons to celebrate, right?

We can not believe it all the one day. Exactly. I saw it. I saw it.

I saw it. I saw it. I saw it. I saw it.

There was a lot of these past two years, right, because of COVID and there was this shift and a lot of people leaving. I feel like it's all coming back now. People are going back into work. I think New York is slowly make in sk… Two months, I don't know.

If you could just tell was there's much more traffic. Much more. More trying to make it before. Really could have driven your bike visually.

In the areas where they're driving. And Milk does theirs works? interaction. Yeah, for sure.

Well, which is great also for business because more things are happening in real estate is women. But before we get into real estate because you are a real estate agent with Compass in New York, but besides that, you build yourself a beautiful portfolio by being a model and a content creator. So tell us a little bit about yourself and how you mix up both worlds. Sure, so you know, I first started as a model in New York when I was 16 and I did a lot within that area in the business and a lot in acting.

I shot a lot of commercials within the beauty lifestyle space. And you know, my whole life was about building my brand, right? Because I wanted to be a model. I want to be an actress.

I had to create the great footage, work a lot and really create my own personal brand because I did. So my life was always about branding and marketing and you know, it just made sense for me to then get into influencer marketing, which became a new trend and companies started wanting to partner with me and paying me to promote stuff within the lifestyle space, beauty space, skincare space, makeup space, lifestyle. And I did that and that became my third business. And then shortly after my fourth business became real estate because I was creating content for a team at Compass and you know, the Garson team wanted me to join and that's why I'm here.

There we go. And I think it's a perfect example on how important influencer marketing has been in this space of real estate because everybody has been using the traditional marketing when it comes to promoting this amazing home. But when it comes to the lifestyle, to promote the lifestyle, especially through your personal branding, I think is one of the most incredible things and you've mixed it up very well. I think it's one of the reasons of your success as an agent as well.

Yeah, for sure. I mean, I think, you know, being in real estate and I'm new, don't get me wrong, I'm new into this business. But I think it's so important to promote yourself, promote personality because people want to work with someone that they know and you know, it's much more relatable that way. Yeah.

Let me ask you this, because a lot of people when they get into real estate, especially in the luxury segment, and as competitive as it is New York, they are very doubting about how to do it, whether they're promoting a home very heavily or they need to position themselves as the authority. And you've shown a clear example of how important personal branding has been. So what is something that you will suggest that could be really important for people to do for personal private? Yeah, I mean, I think for me, you know, my aesthetic on Instagram has always been like, you know, classic luxurious, you know, high end, like that just my vibe, I like it.

And that attracts that audience, right? That's for me to be in that space, you know, in real estate, because I cover that not only in fashion. You know, but it's all intertwined together, right? So, you know, you have to position yourself in a way that makes sense to what you want to attract.

If you want to do, you know, high end luxury apartments, you have to position yourself that way. Exactly. Exactly. No, I really like it that we're having this conversation because that's what we specialize on, you know, it's a laborizing properties.

And the way we do it is, as you said, by showcasing the lifestyle through content creators like yourself that have already built a great audience that understands luxury, but at the same time, by doing it in a very unique way that shows also the personality. So very, very well, what you've done. And when it comes to real estate, I mean, New York, right? One of the most exciting places to be working on real estate, what has been one of the hardest things for you entering into real estate?

I mean, because I'm from New York, like I'm born and raised here, you know, it's hard. Don't be wrong, real estate is hard. I'm not gonna, you know, it's all learning experience the more I'm in it, the more I understand it. But the hardest part was probably me just jumping into a pack of holes and like navigating and figuring out how to, you know, do things.

But what hasn't been that part for me is because I actually grew up here and like, I know New York better than anything else. Like, I've never lived anywhere else like ask anyone in my audience. Like, I, people have lost me all the time. Like, how you lived anywhere else?

And I say flat out, like, no, for me. So yeah, to answer your question, what has been the most difficult is probably the first month of, you know, understanding the game and, you know, the transition transition and like getting used to like working with these kind of different hours and, you know, working with more people, because you know, I've always been independent and now I work with a team and, you know, managing that and, you know, understanding which is what, you know, like I've never had enough of this job before this, right? And so I think like that transition has been amazing, but it's been different. Got it.

And we talked about something very important, which is your native New Yorker, you live there your whole life. So selling the lifestyle, the dream of living in such a place is what really sells. It's not just a product itself. And I got to tell you that the same thing happens here, I'm even more right now doing COVID.

You know, everybody's like, Oh my God, I'm looking towards, they don't think about the property. They think about the lifestyle because it's like, okay, I want to have this house, but also the boat because then I want to go on the weekends here and I want to do that and that. So when you know New York or, you know, the area, you specialize on it, you're not just selling the property that is there is the lifestyle, you know, the restaurants to go to, the places to go at night and things to do. So think that personal branding is so important because they can live through what you do that lifestyle.

Yeah, and like I'm selling all and only what I know, you know, like my parents came from Poland, some of the first generation of American and, you know, like they came here with the idea of loving New York City and loving Brooklyn, some originally from Brooklyn, born and raised. And you know, like I know it because my family became so in love with New York and what it was able to provide for them and just seeing their hard work, you know, they had blue color jobs like my dad was a truck driver, my mom was a cleaning lady, like they came with nothing to America and like we saw I saw in front of my eyes like the growth that New York is able to provide for them. So, you know, I'm like thinking, like, I'm so much that's wonderful. Now talking a little bit about the content creation and your career at the beginning as a model, transitioning to trying to become an actress and now you're going to real estate.

How have you combined those things? Are you still pursuing, you know, becoming an actress or, you know, do you see this million dollar listening, selling, sunset and all this real estate? That's something that you're working towards? You know, for now I'm still learning, right?

You know, of course I have the ambitions like I have very high expectations of myself always, but right now I'm just, you know, learning and adapting and taking in as much as I can. And I don't know, maybe I will be on millions are listening. I don't know, I'm not saying no, but for now I'm just I'm learning as much as I can. And it's been an amazing journey and, you know, the opportunities are endless for me.

And I'm just, I'm just thankful for everything that's happening right now. And I'm not saying no. Well, you and I have exactly or even something new and better, right? Because you and I have talked about it.

I mean, there's countless opportunities is about working with the right people at showcasing something that goes beyond, you know, the drama itself is something that excites people, something that inspires people to take that move. So I'm glad that we connected. I obviously wanted to touch on a couple of extra things. We always ask this question and for you working on luxury real estate and also being around all luxury things related.

I want to ask you, why is it really luxury to you? Oh, oh my God, I don't like to be put on a spot like this. Some people, some people, and again, luxury could be a feeling that emotions and people say, sometimes people say it's expensive. Some people say it's, you know, choices.

So we ask this question because luxury every time that people think of luxury is so different. And we had so many different answers throughout all the episodes that we've been having. So I'm curious, coming from someone like yourself, you know, that have lived luxury and self luxury. What really is it's a it's like a level of taste for me.

You know, whether it's with fashion and clothing or, you know, real estate or apartments, it's like a level of taste. A level of taste. I like it. That's a new answer.

I haven't heard that one before. No, that's phenomenal. So you're working on real estate, modeling and you're doing all this collaboration. Look, I see hopefully the last lecture is the ultimate goal.

Wow. Okay. I see in the comments. I'm not reading the comments.

Oh, fall. Yes. So Paul, you work on my team. He's my best friend.

Oh, that's awesome. So I see it's a familiar faces in there. But no, I'm very happy. Definitely the goal.

Oh, I have other comments. Thanks. It's exciting. Okay.

Thank you, everybody for tuning in. And obviously I wanted to give a big shout out for those that are watching these lives, because I think they're very informative and especially for people that are in a similar situation, like yourself, you know, where they build a really amazing personal brand in, but don't know in which direction to go next. I feel like real estate has been a great opportunity to open lots of opportunities. In your case, it's been great.

What you're doing in New York, Miami is open in case you want to make a transition as well. But any last takeaways or words that you would like to share? I think my from the experiences I shared with you today, like I think just follow your dreams and be an open minded person, right? Like I never asked to get into real estate, but I just took the opportunity and it's been going in a great direction.

Just like I never asked to get into content creation. You just have to go with things in life and say yes sometimes because you never know what happens at the end of that road. So that's like the best advice you get for people. It's just like take everything as it comes.

Amazing. I love it. Well, we wish you the best of luck. I'm sure you're going to continue growing and that we'll be working on some exciting breaks together.

But for now, stay warm because New York, it's also here in Miami. You'll be surprised. It's really cool. I'm posting on Instagram story that it's like 45 degrees.

I'm like, oh yeah, cool. People are like with furries and blankets everywhere. Yeah, I'm like, I'm like, okay. Well, happy birthday again to you.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Best of luck.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for all this month. Best of luck.

I'm sure. And we'll talk soon. Thanks for the conversation. Of course.

Thank you, everybody. Bye. Bye. Have a good week.

And thanks again for everybody tuning in today. We hope you enjoyed it. And remember, embrace is beautiful, success in life. My name is Alvaro and I'll see you next time.
