Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another SLD meetup. I'm super excited to bring today one of our superstar real-state agents into this episode. His name is Romain Bonette and I'm sure you've seen him in the famous TV show Selling Sunset on Netflix. Now, besides that, he's also a project manager for Guite Glove stage where they renovate houses inside out.

So he's going to tell us all about how he has leveraged his personal brand to really elevate himself in such a saturated industry, such a real-state. So excited about having him here today and to learn all about his story. There he is. What's happening Romain?

How are you? Good, good, good. And you? Classic, I mean, I'm complaining and super happy to have you here with us today.

Thank you for being me. Of course. So listen, where do we start? I mean, everybody's probably familiar with that face.

They're like, what have I seen this guy? Famous TV show Selling Sunset, it's been a hit and everybody's loving it. Also, your personal life and how it's developed on that marriage. And look, I don't want to get too much personal, but I want to get more about you as a professional real-state individual.

I mean, you've been taking your career to the roof. So tell us a little bit on how you started. Well, so how I started from your side when I started working for Jason in her construction, because I came here, I first started working as a pastry chef and doing some work out. And then he didn't work out, well, I'm going to pass him that.

Anyway, and so Jason was like, well, I'm doing this new project. And then if you want to be done, you can work with the other guys. I'm like, okay, why not? And so I kind of liked it because it was like a lot of things that I didn't work out.

And I felt like it was like the most, I took it as a workout, lifting stuff and then the wood and everything. So that was kind of fun and it was new for me at that point. And then so as the project moved on, because I was in like, I mean, always for example, couple of years already, I wasn't manager. So for me, it came easily to start managing people and meeting and there.

And even more of the fact that I knew I was like a friend of Jason. So I just started to do this, you know, looking after the guys and then learning and learning more, you know, because you keep learning every day, especially you know, you know, to be doing that was new for me. And then later on, I thought like six to seven months, you know, after I did the project manager that was managing the project end up by Leen. And so Jason was like a little bit like he didn't have anyone.

And since I was already doing like basically all the payroll, getting my tail and then taking a knife, he was like, what would you mind like to do it? And I'm like, no, for sure. So it was only a half at first, you know, especially because it was everything was new for me. So someone that's like really, I'm going to pay attention to everything because I'm trying to learn and listen to all the details and all the stuff that you need to know, especially cause.

When we had like inspection and stuff like that. So we had to make sure that it was at code. And so it was a bit hard to say the beginning, but you know, eventually, you know, it worked out. Yeah, yeah, definitely.

And I joined it, especially when you see like the way, like when you end up by making like such an amazing house and you're like, well, I made it so it's kind of cool. No, it's fantastic. And did you ever expect it when you started to be where you are today, like being landed on the TV show, having so much attention and so many opportunities coming your way. Yeah, exactly.

No, no, especially because I didn't even think about like being in the construction, you know, because that wasn't really what I was doing. I didn't even know anything about it. And I didn't even know anything about it. And especially so when I came in, I get married.

So they had like already talked to we were in the police, but I didn't even know anything about it. So I had no idea. I became at once. But I'm grateful to so especially because I think what helped me a lot or so, it's to have like all those people around me, especially my wife, just and everything.

So it did help a lot. So I think that the combination of taking the chances, right? Because a lot of people, something they push away the chance because they're afraid you went on and took it, but because you also were surrounded yourself with people that were pushing you to go towards that. So I'm important to go with that for you.

Well, especially because Jason also I'm sure like did it in somewhere for a little bit for me because he's his best friend, you know. So when you gave me the job, and you also thought that it was like, you know, an opportunity for him, but like especially he was like, what do you mean for me? And then me, I was very so I never wanted to ever, you know, when you go to a job and you recommend someone and he's like, you know, if I can't wait here. And so I was making sure that I was like over doing it like, well, that's where I am so but you know, because I didn't want to have anything bad going back on maybe or especially also just giving me the chance for it.

So how would you manage right to keep a professional and private life versus being on TV because then a lot of people are jumping at you and a lot of come. How do you handle that? It is pretty hard. I mean, at the end of the day, that's for a month, you know, that's the show.

We all were hoping for like, you know, being like an amazing show and getting as big as possible and then going to happen, you know, but obviously that comes with like, it's harder than to have like some privacy or anywhere in Google, you know, there's always like people don't even want to be like thankful because we would never have to show me that defense. But it is sometimes like, you know, you would like to go to a restaurant and be like, you know, me and maybe you don't have to worry about anything, but you know, constantly usually these like people. Some people like comes in us just for pictures and a story find that some people are like, we got to know something that's happening at all. I'm also no way for that weird thing that is out.

If you had to start again, would you do something different? No, not really because I mean, I'm so grateful for where I am today. And I think all the what the state that I have to, you know, in the past, you know, got me where I am, you know, so I don't think there is anything. I'm grateful for the, you know, everything that happened.

Obviously there is some, you know, I've been there, but no, I think I'm pretty good. That means that you're going in the right direction. Now, I got to ask you this, right? So what's what's next?

Like everybody's always asking, oh, when is the next is, oh, what's the next project? Oh, what's next? So anything exciting coming up? So we did a theme.

We were the industry in season seven, because that was where we picked up for season six and seven so it came out. We did do it. So so they should come out. The end of the year.

I'm not sure if we don't have to join. So that should come after 10 at that point, depending on like the number that we're going to get for the season seven, we get to know East. We connect it, you know, bigger for like one or two more seasons, which would be amazing because apparently we would be a show in the history of this is to have more than seven seasons. Yeah, so that would be big.

And then obviously, maybe wants to start flipping houses and, you know, we'd like to best come before it, you know, so that would be great. And then we also talking a lot with a target in the head. We're like, we close with them and then Derek said that he might want to do something to be successful. I love that.

First of all, congratulations on that. And I love the whole concept of that tandem right at team, because it's very empowering to see a couple, why I fast working together to make that dream team and the team work on achieving something that not a lot of people are even able to imagine. So it's very inspirational. And I like that that you're utilizing the platform of TV or social media to showcase that because it's very beautiful.

So, thank you. Especially we are like, you know, she's been doing this far with a long time and she goes in my head like you're in one to start everything and then obviously she's in my work. So we, we are, I think that's the best thing. You know, so that we work.

I love it. Well, look, a lot of ideas are coming to my head and I'm sure that we can do that whenever we get together. But if you're coming to Miami, that's the next move right to expand towards the East Coast and I'm sure there's a lot of opportunities your way. Yeah.

We just opened a year was going back and forth. So I was going to be a private that we just finished an office in something where that's open. Nice. Yeah.

And then just before we do the one on sunset, we did the one in the corner of the map and then we had one or something in the car. Yeah, it's nice. Take it over. Take it over.

So who knows where's the next button? Well, we'll be paying attention, right? Like we'll be following the journey. Now, Roman, we always have this question and I'm very curious to know what is the definition of luxury to you.

Look, you know, they've been for for who it is because, you know, you can have like those really old table or wash and then that's crazy, you know, price. But after you're different, like, the person is in so we don't know, you know, I mean, so send the others, you know, he can be like a bigger, so it can be a smaller house, but because of the history, because of the area of the rotation and then the streets, especially like, you know, change a lot in the left, for example, can change the value a lot. So, you know, it depends what like who is looking into what, you know, you see that with the white glove states, you managing the project, you're transforming homes and you're transforming them with something that is very unique is the DNA of the person that is going to live there. You're transforming them for somebody to step into the house and feel this sensation of like, Oh my God, this is home.

I feel great. And that's my favorite person, right? For somebody might be the match up facing the water for another person might be like, good, take home that has all the different things that the person needs. So, as you said, it's different for everybody.

Yeah, exactly. It's different. And then so we're using like a lot of different material and then we try to play with the texture, the different material, like the wood, like the concrete, the metal. And then so we try and then sort them, like what your state, so his wife actually is doing a lot of the design and then she's really good at it, you know, so he helps a lot.

But yeah, we're obviously using like, you know, like, you know, boy, he and then you know, it's more so you're going to use it and then, you know, use it and put together, you know, that's going to make the difference of the way. So, last question for anybody out there that is trying to get more into social media more into TV more in front of a camera but it's struggling so much. What would be our friend, the superstar from selling sunset say, well, for the TV, it's a little bit different for me because I. I'm grateful, but I kind of like, fanny to it, you know, so I didn't, I didn't, I don't know exactly it's me.

I would say like, you know, I team your classes and stuff like that and go to a lot of addition. What I can say, like, you know, for example, like, you're coming out like modeling and stuff like that, you can do some shooting with like some people and then try to, you know, and they don't need it, but they said a lot like to work on your official expression, you don't want to be all by now, you know, if you're into like fashion or so, you know, try to do different roles in this, like in this world, like, you know, like TV or modeling or anything like that. They are like super hard in this many, many times, even people are going to tell you no, no, no, no, you're not going to be enough. But you know, the day you need to believe in yourself, you know, and then just to train because, you know, there is someone that's going to be looking for someone like you, you know, he just needs to find a white person and unfortunately you can have to go to a lot of people, you know, more for some other.

And here, no, no, no, no, no, stuff like that. So, it just happens to, you know, keep, you know, being confident and then trust yourself and then, you know, well, thank you so much. That's very nice. Sorry.

For anybody that is trying to reach out to you that wants to work with you, what's the best way to contact you? Um, what are you on social media or, yeah, social media can be peace or something, you know, you know, perfect. Okay, fantastic. Well, it's been a pleasure.

Thank you so much for your time. Thank you so much. We look forward to seeing the journey of you getting this new season all going, also the team work with the flipping houses and everything else that you're going to be doing. So, very excited for that.

Congratulations. I will see each other very soon. Thank you so much. And thanks again for everybody tuning in today.

We hope you enjoyed it. And remember, embrace each beautiful success in life. My name is Alvaro and I'll see you next time.
