Welcome to another episode of our serious SLG meetups by Super Luxury Group, where we connect with some of the most interesting players in the luxury market. My name is Alvaro, and today we'll be having with us a very special guest. Her name is Stacey Gotula, the Beverly Hills Queen, and she is a Luxury Real Estate Agent at Eklund-Gomstein in Los Angeles. With over $1 billion in lifetime sales, Stacey has been recognized in real trends as American's best, and Hollywood reporters top 25 real estate agents.

In this conversation, we will be talking about what it takes to sell such multi-million-dollar properties and the importance of working on your mindset and balance to have beautiful, success in life. Stacey will also be sharing with us some insights on the current market and upcoming trends, as well as the key success factors for building strong relationships in such competitive industry. Definitely great insights for those that are looking to learn more about what it takes to get to the top, and also the latest trends in the market. I hope that you enjoy it.

Hey, how are you? Very good on yourself. Good. I was noticing that Super Luxury Group is also my initials to my name, so it must be destined that.

Wow, there you go. I didn't even get that. That's a good feeling already. Yeah, exactly.

Amazing. So how are you doing, Stacey? I'm great. You have to stay strong during all life challenges and things that are going on in the world, so I think that it's a good time to be centered and healthy and happy and keep a high vibe.

That's for sure. I enjoy Los Angeles. It's a beautiful place to be. I mean, how is it currently?

Because we're going through the election right now. How is the situation there? I think a lot of people, it was really quiet yesterday. I mean, there's a lot of boarding up going on downtown.

I was down on the other day. Beverly Hills is all boarded up. So it's the preparing for something. My hope is that doesn't happen and people will all come together and unite.

We have to just keep moving forward. 100%. I'm Stacey. I was making a quick intro about yourself because when I think of Super Luxury Real State, especially Los Angeles, you come to my mind.

I mean, when it comes to top sales, I mean, you sold 2010, highest sales, residential in the nation. And what you've been doing is phenomenal. I'm really impressed. And I have a question.

You know, how did you end up becoming so incredible in Real State? How was the magic? Like, what's the secret sauce? A lot of hard work, definitely a lot of hard work, a lot of passion for what I do.

I love what I do. So, but I also think that, you know, I did a lot of internal self growth. I believe that everything kind of comes and lies within. So I really worked on my inner self to kind of create the outer world and how it shows up.

So for me, I feel like that through business, through relationships, through connections, it's always, I feel like everything that lies when you're centered is aligned. So I spent a lot of time and energy on working on my inner self to, you know, learn how to be my word and what successful people do. I read a lot. But I believe that it takes a lot of hard work, but it's, it's fun if you're passionate about it.

Very good. Do you have any more routine that you do on a daily basis? Yeah, I definitely do yoga. You know, I'm, so a couple of days we get to yoga in my home, in my backyard.

I definitely, I try not to jump right on my phone. So I try to read something powerful and positive. That's always something I do. And I'm not only, how is it to deal with such demanding clients?

Because we're not talking about regular properties. We're talking about multi-million dollar properties and the stress that comes into this business and now added with this kind of properties is tremendous. So I'm sure that keeping that inner peace and the meditation helps a lot. Now, and I think, I mean, I challenges for me are an opportunity.

So I mean, in every transaction we have, there's, you know, it's never effortless. But for me, I thrive in thinking ahead and, you know, think, and if there is a challenge finding a solution and there's a real reward to it when you can really have, you know, something in a deal or a transaction that's difficult. And then when you overcome that and you get to the end and you close the deal, the reward of that is even better. Because you're talking about rewards.

I mean, I'm sure that the reward for this property right here was hair. How long is that? I mean, this one is a 613. You've wrote?

You're talking about $50 million in 2010, right? Yeah, I sold it again. I sold it twice. I sold it in 2010, the first time that I sold it again in 2018 for high 50s.

So I sold it twice. It was really honored to represent that property. It was one of the most beautiful Bel Air properties. And it's an exquisite, Hadi, Muhammad Hadi had developed it.

And so it's really special. So how do you find that perfect mix between the people that are potentially interested in buying them versus actually buying them? Like, how do you make that happen? Listen, people at that magnitude, they know what they want.

You know, people that are successful, it's like when they see what they want, they get it. So there's really no, I mean, definitely you need to know the house well. I think a lot of times people are showing properties. I knew this house so well.

I've been, you know, the developer. I've seen the house being under construction. So I knew all the details, the woodwork, the, you know, what stones were used. I knew a lot of the details about the house.

And I think the way that we marketed it, we didn't do, at that time there wasn't a lot of, well, there was, there was videos and things like that. But we want to keep it private because when you get to that high level of a home, privacy and security and all those things are highly important. Oh, very incredible. I mean, I'm super impressed with that.

Now with everything that is going on with the elections, with coronavirus, everything, a little bit unusual as it was back then. How do you see these super luxury homes getting in, you know, into this kind of big cells? I think anything's changed except that we're wearing masks and you can't see ourselves smiling. It's hard to see the clients facial expressions under those masks.

But honestly, it's not really impacted the showings too much. So do you have adjusted the way that you present the homes? Are you also leaning towards technology to do some virtual tours or four? These kind of properties has everybody wants to be in there.

Yeah, definitely virtual tours. These properties, it's more of a lifestyle video is kind of what I've always done. So if you go to my website, you'll see even like my 955 Heather Road, we did this beautiful lifestyle video. So it's not like you're generic, you know, here's the bathtub and here's this.

We do it like we feel like you're living in the house, we hired models and actors and children to play on the property. So then when we shot it, you know, there was a tennis court on the property. So we actually had the actors and actors playing tennis. So people get the music and it's all curated like a movie.

It's curated like a movie. So if somebody gets the feeling of the house, I think sometimes that's what we're going to do. So we're going to be able to work well in this property. I mean, I think this is the direction that the super luxury homes are heading and what you guys are doing is great.

So I mean, you might have me, we do have some incredible properties and also great landscape, you know, to make some nice productions, but we don't raise the $250 million properties yet. So I mean, one thing I wanted to ask you because you're mentioning these lifestyle a lot. I mean, there is something really important when it comes to luxury. Everybody sees luxury in so many different ways.

I would like to know from your perspective, what is really luxury to you? Luxury to me is a quality. I guess it's a perfection. It is attention to detail.

It's a lifestyle. So I think that, yeah, I mean, it goes luxury. It's just it's been going on since the start of time, whether it be your shoes that you're wearing or your clothes and we happen to be in an area that houses. No, 100%.

Especially now, I mean, everybody is like looking more into the details on how the structure of the home is looking, that it really fits your personality, your lifestyle. So you require somebody that is an expert and knows really the property and understands the client needs to really match the property and the client lifestyle. So the thing that you were doing is great, but something that you were telling me before and I found it very fascinating, because sometimes when we think of super luxury homes and the type of clientele that buys those properties or even the property owners that want to sell them, you know, and you think of like too much high level, always like shiny, shiny, but you told me that the best connections that you've made are more in a personal, deeper level when you go more like into this retreat. It's a little bit how you build those relationships.

Yeah, I think any relationship is first built on a connection. So I feel like even if I'm on a listening appointment and I've never met the people, it's always about a connection that you make with them on something more than just business. And so for me, a lot of my clients, yeah, I've seen them when I'm traveling the world, or I've met them when I've been traveling the world in social spheres. That's great.

There is one saying that is the difference between contact and contract is they are with stands for relationship. So I think that's where you really nailed it out. The relationships are key. The one that has been doing it well long before you is the key too.

So you can learn. And so I learned from the best. 100%. That's great.

That's great. And you know, I was going to ask you, well, there'll be some advice of things that you've learned about your career. I think that's really a really good one. Anything else on a more personal level?

Well, on a personal level, right now I'm with Ecling Gombe. I'm on an Ecling Gomes team now. So I think part of our life is about recreating ourselves. So we don't get stale and stagnant, just the same old repetition.

So I think always reinventing yourself. Reinventing. So with me now, I'm with the Ecling Gomes team, Fred or Gathlens, John Gomes. They're very well known where you're at in Miami, as well as New York.

They started in New York. And then they plateaued to Miami, and then they've come from the Fred and now lives in LA. So that I felt like was, wow, it's amazing. It's a little different.

It's so different than just the real estate agents that know real estate here. We now are able to do real estate. I'm able to now. A lot of my clients have lived in Miami, had second homes in maybe LA or vice versa, New York, and they had homes here.

So now I'm able to do business in three different areas with the same clientele. And because I'm on this beautiful, amazing, extraordinary team now. And all my teams were great, because it's a fair mat now. And so I'm really enjoying, it's a, I'm enjoying this Ecling Gomes team now.

It's just a little bit different heartbeat. And I'm reinventing myself with them. And it's been a lot of fun. I can see that.

I mean, you all are extraordinary. I mean, from what I see, from what I hear, it's a fun team, great results. And as you said, it's a matter of reinventing yourself, adapting to the new technologies, new circumstances, and having fun and accomplishing results while doing so. So Stacy, I really appreciate your time being here today.

If they want to contact you or work with you, where can they find you? Thank you so much for having me as an honor. I really appreciate the reach out. They can reach me at StacyGattula.com.

So it's my name, S-D-A-C-Y, G-O-T-T, U-L-A.com. All my info is there. And I appreciate the reach out and being on your show today. We'll stay in touch.

We'll see each other somewhere. I'm looking forward to doing great together. So take care. And we'll talk soon.

Okay, take care. Bye-bye. And thanks again for everybody tuning in today. We hope you enjoyed it.

And remember, embrace it's beautiful, success in life. My name is Alvaro, and I'll see you next time.
