Welcome to another episode of our serious SOG Meetups by Super Luxury Group, where we connect with some of the most interesting players in the Luxury market. My name is Alvaro, and today we'll be having with us a very special guest. Her name is Kaylie Rakhadi, and she is a Luxury Real Estate agent at Aaron Kirman Group and also model, and she will be talking about her transition from modeling to real estate in one of the top teams in the nation. Kaylie will also be sharing with us the benefits of her modeling career and personal branding towards enhancing Luxury homes in style.

Definitely great insights for those looking to leverage their personal brand towards your passion. I hope you enjoy it. All right, what's happening, Kaylie? How are you?

I'm good, how are you? Very good, very good. Good, having you here today. I'm happy to be here.

Thank you for having me. Of course, our pleasure. Where are you today? I'm in Los Angeles.

I'm at home. How is the situation over there? We actually just end up having a three-week lockdown, so we'll be locked down for a little bit longer than expected. You know that the three-week will probably be extended.

Yes. So Kaylie, I was making a quick intro about yourself. I mean, very interesting to see how from your modeling career, and we'll talk a little bit about early stages, but you took that into advantage to moving to the real estate industry. By joining one of the top teams in the country, you're now with the Aero and Kirimak Group.

Amazing. There's such a great team, and I've learned so much in such a short period of time. I'm really, really grateful to be with them. So this is very nice because, I mean, you're definitely now part of one of the top teams in the country, and you're bringing your modeling career into real estate.

Now, my question to you will be, how has that been? It's actually been pretty easy. So as you know, I've been real estate for a little while now. I do vacation rentals out in the desert.

So for the festival season and whatnot, I would have Coachella. I housed a bunch of people for the past five years. So I've gone from renting now to selling. So I've just kind of taken my clientele through the years of modeling and renting in life, I guess, and transferred that over into current business right now.

So it's just been kind of easy, actually. It's been great. Well, I think that real estate at the end of the day, it's all about relationships. You know what they say, right?

The difference between the contact and the contract is the art, the sense of relationships. And those relationships are definitely a lot when you are in that modeling career, right? Absolutely. I've made a lot of good friends along the way, and I feel like that's kind of what separates me a little bit because I just want to help my friends get a cool house and noting there's no hidden modems, no nothing because this industry can be a little bit cutthroat.

I learned that early on about five years ago that you know, you got to be your friends. For sure. Now, one thing that I think it's very interesting to talk about is nowadays it's very important to position yourself on the digital space. Absolutely.

And you coming from the modeling career, you've done that pretty remarkable, you know, with all the following base that you have, all the exposure, so bringing that same knowledge and techniques into real estate, has it been helpful for you? It has been. It's a little bit interesting making the jump because I do post modeling stuff still, but I want people to take me seriously as an agent, so it's just kind of trying to try that fine line, I guess. But I mean, it's good that I do have a following that I can carry over, but I'm going to create a new Instagram if you haven't followed it already, you should, for my real estate business, just so I can kind of a little bit separate, but obviously I'll be posting.

So what makes you decide to go in parallel lines instead of like all combined? Well, I think they will be combined, but I do want to keep a little bit separate because I'm going to be posting a ton of real estate stuff on my other thing, my other account, and I will be giving market trends in my opinion of what's going on, like in the world and especially in Los Angeles, as far as what's like real estate and what's good and what's not. So I don't want to inundate people on my modeling account too much. I'll give them a little bit of information, but if they want to look a little bit deeper, then they can follow my other Instagram.

Great. So Kaylee, now obviously with what's going on this year, there's a lot of things that needs to be adjusted right in the way that we do business. It's been a rough year, I mean, for everyone. But to get into the game, I guess, it's been a pretty good market actually, ironically, however, the normal ways in which I would learn like hands-on going to open houses and what not are having stripped from me.

I can't really do a lot of things that most people do when they enter the game. So it's been a lot of just reading and trying to shadow my mentor. Her name is Nina at Eric Herman. She's an angel.

She's so smart. So I've been trying to just learn and use sponging and soak up all the information that she's been able to give me. I like what you just said because this is the perfect timing to actually like deep down yourself into knowledge, become that knowledge broker, know everything that is going on inside out on your market. And then at the end of the day, it's also about connecting with the people.

So right now with technology, we have it so easy to just like grab your phone and connect with potential people that you can work with or that might be interested on the latest updates in the market. So there is nothing that we can do that's sharing and sharing everything that we're learning. I just want to be able to share publicly on my social media if anyone needs help or the looking just let me know. Have you been showing any properties via zoom or doing any kind of, you know, before our lockdown, which started I think last, I know you said like a few days ago, I did show a couple properties, but you have to schedule a appointment and you know, it's a little bit trickier for sure.

Now, Kaylee, you were mentioning before that your transition to real estate was through vacation rentals that you were actually organizing some of the rentals through Coachella. And this is what really opened you the door to be involved with properties. How has it been that transition in the early stages until now? I feel like it gave me a huge edge.

I did I'm the head of client relations at Laguna Seica estate. So it's this little block of houses and I we've kind of made it into a little bit desirable place to stay for Coachella. We tried a house a lot of headliners and we built like hangers in one of the backyards and stages of you all. So the clientele that I was able to attract were some of the performers at Coachella.

So that has made my clients a little bit unique per se. So being able to transfer that into my real estate game now in Los Angeles, being able to sell has been kind of cool. Well, I mean, you're talking about, you know, celebrities and certain individuals that also have that without saying that. No, but it's interesting because the moment that you start working with these type of individuals and you do a great job, then it opens you the doors for many opportunities.

But obviously I guess the fear, because I've seen this a lot in certain people, that they have the fear to change hats, you know, okay, like I'm a model and then I'm going to do real estate. How do people take you seriously? I guess it's by knowing, right, like the knowledge. I mean, anyone who knows me knows I'm a really reliable person.

I would never ever do anything I can to make sure that everything is okay for you. I'll go out of my way. You know, so I'm not worried about that. And it's been a pretty easy transition for me.

I mean, I can do a lot of things. So I'm an artist. What's been the hardest part? Corona.

I hate to say it's made it more difficult for me to learn. I'm a really hands-on visual and person kind of individual. I like to be there to learn and to experience and to see things for myself. It's kind of hard looking at a chart or a sheet of paper and trying to learn from that when I could be in person checking out really cool houses and architecture and, you know, market trends in office.

But unfortunately, I'm kind of on my own at the moment for me. That's a challenge. It's just the type of learning that I am. And I guess like what you're saying, like the presence, it's very important to use the technology that we have.

And I see a lot of fans were here. They are saying like, oh, she's the best. Oh, I haven't even looked down. I'm too nervous to look at people or anything.

But a really good thanks guys for all your support. But Kaylee, I think that a lot of people nowadays when they're staying at their homes, they start looking for these luxury properties. They're so beautiful. And they're like, where else?

Exactly. It's like dreamy. You start looking at it. And it's like, wow.

And if on top of that, you have somebody that is knowledgeable, that is believable, showing you that property in a very nice way. It's automatically engaging. So what about those property tours? Is it something that you're going to start doing more often?

I would love to do virtual tours in any way, shape or form. I love looking at properties. I kind of scour the analysts every single day. I just see what's new, what's popping.

And if anyone wants to look at it, get it to work virtually or if I can do it in person, I'm always down to do that. I think that's what really makes the difference these days because not a lot of people can travel. Like for example, we're here in Miami and we see a lot of people in New York and we've internationally that would love to see what's going on. And there's some great opportunities in the market every time.

So they need us, right? If I could go to a property and FaceTime and take a detailed video for a client, I would love to do that. It gives me something to go to in person. You know what I mean?

Obviously, you work with some of the high-end properties and also client's health. But there's always that difference between what luxury means for you versus somebody else. I would like to know from your perspective. I mean, you've seen it all.

Always looks right to you. You know, I grew up in a really, really small town and my house is beautiful, but it's, you know, the necessities. It's just a couple bedrooms, couple bathrooms with my parents. It's quaint and it's nice.

So when I came out here and I saw the real estate out here, it was kind of a shock. And then I worked for a Laguna Sega States. Those houses are insane. That can open my eyes about five or six years ago to the property out in the desert.

And those were a crazy segue because the property is a bit cheaper out there. And so it is to make the houses as well. So I'm working with these like 15 bedroom homes and things I've never seen before. Just putting in basketball courts just cause.

And that was really eye opening. And that's me is the definition of luxury. It's things that are necessarily necessary but are a luxury. So I mean, it's unfreeing.

It's something that's so foreign. I've never seen a house with basketball court inside. Like that's crazy. I like it now.

No, that's great. And Kayleigh, you know, you're giving some great points about how to transition into real estate because I've seen a lot of people that have built an amazing following days. They do certain things with their lives that, you know, maybe modeling, maybe something related to the nightlife. And when you are building those relationships and you want to really take your career a little bit harder, real estate seems to be like a great segue if it is something that you're passionate about.

So what are some takeaways? Like if you can give one takeaway for somebody that is trying to do the transition. What would it be? It has to be something that you're interested in.

I have always liked real estate. I just wear, I'm from so again, I have to touch upon it one more time. I am from a historical society. My town is very, very small.

My home is 250 years old. I have little lanterns in my streets. So the real estate back home is very strange and very, very, very unique. We have the craziest structures and underground tunnels that go to the ocean for the Underground Railroad.

So that to me was enormous. So when I came out here, I was so fascinated by all the different homes and modern types and the luxury. And I actually went to Barcelona and I stopped gouty and architecture there is insane. And I just started becoming more and more fascinated.

So if you have a bit of an innate interest in it, definitely go for it. If you don't find it interesting, it's going to be a bit redundant. It's going to be hard to learn. But if you find it interesting, go for it.

And my only advice is please stay true to yourself. Do not become a snake. Do not try to be, you know, I guess the only way to think of a sinkie. Be a good person.

Be fair and be loyal. And I think that will set you apart. There's too many people in here that are just out to take each other's money. And I do not like that.

That's only thing I can say. Definitely. And look, the old colors come out eventually. So what you said is totally right.

Stay true to yourself. Stay passionate with what you do and stay honest because this is a business of people. You know, this is the people's business. And if you don't really value each other and take care of each other in a very honest way, it's not going to take you any longer to be out.

So great points. Now, I guess I will put everything in the comments where they can find you, follow you, reach out for anything they need. Any other questions if anyone has anything to say? Anything else you would like to add?

Not really. I'm just really grateful for this opportunity to talk to you and to get my foot to learn. And I can't wait to go to Miami and meet you guys because I definitely have some clients that want me to look for houses down there. So we are here welcoming you anytime and hopefully, you know, United States.

Well, listen, we're here for you whenever you want. And hopefully this whole walk-off situation will be, is up soon. And we'll have- Great ground safety and health and hopefully we can get back to a new norm and be with each other first and again. For sure.

Well, it was a lovely talking to you, Kaylee. Thank you very much. Be safe over there. We'll stay in touch and hopefully to see you soon.

Sounds good. Thank you so much. All right. Bye-bye.

And thanks again for everybody tuning in today. We hope you enjoyed it. And remember, embrace it's beautiful success in life. My name is Alvaro and I'll see you next time.
