I can't complain we're here Miami where the magic keeps going every day. See you Vamos I love it. Vamos have to say man I love your energy big since we've met I think I've gone around the office screening bamos and just driving everywhere nice. Thank you thank you thank you.

No that's the feeling is neutral I mean I love listening to you for house having conversations and also to see how amazing you're taking the way that you know this luxury homes are being marketed and sold. I mean I'm a big fan of the way that you promote it and the way that you express the lifestyle that it has on Cooper to offer so I mean tell me a little bit about you know what this not to sound cheesy but this really is like a dream come true for me. I completely separate I actually grew up on a farm about 45 minutes away from here so my sister both married professional cowboys my parents have a ranch up country north from here so completely different lifestyle but it was all started when I was at university and I was studying and I came across a local real here in West Vancouver and what I had done was I don't know I just became obsessed I became completely obsessed with to me where I came from in the small farm town real estate was it wasn't this I mean they're great professionals out there but there's something about this the homes the the look the marketing was something I never seen before and it became obsessed so I ended up dropping out of university getting my real estate license and trying to emulate this business there which didn't work so well so one day what I did was I just googled how to get to West Vancouver I drove to the number one for a person number one firm they hired me and it was a dream come true and I think that was my biggest motivation was just you know seeing them seeing this only from magazines and videos for years and actually being here and sitting across having an office across from the actual this the same individual that I saw in university and then becoming my mentor like a brother and teaching me so much it's been a true gift to be here and as far as the marketing aspect I mean my parents is always growing up that I should be in marketing and at that time they were thinking you know that the traditional you know marketing and advertising commercials and things like that but I've always been very creative so I get inspired by these homes and I always think what can we do next so talking about real estate you know because I'm sure that the market right now in Vancouver seems pretty hot I mean you guys are doing pretty well there now we see that across many hot destinations Miami including but I think that one of the different shaders on how to really dominate the space is by really taking the consideration the tools that we are currently having one of them is technology I mean social media etc so what would you say has been one thing that has helped you tremendously recently for sure recently um Instagram has always been a big one for me we get a lot of leads a lot of business done through social media um but I would have to say um I think honestly it's been social media has been the biggest benefit to our business so for those that obviously are trying to get to that level but don't know how to start what would be the best route to do it I think for as far as as just starting out the best thing to do is to meet the people I always say there's um when I'm helping the to coach new agents it's oversimplifying but it kind of uh paints a picture to understand how it is there's four steps to getting paid and obviously it's more than just getting paid it's about you know working for the client but when teaching an agent here it's understanding the four steps are one meet the people to sign the listening three sell the listening and four cash to check right that's how you go to the motion and you can't do one before the other so where's it all start meet the people from the region always meet the people get other value to be what you can do or not whatever but as far as getting up started social media I find that from my own personal experience um and monitoring my social media there's a lot of text on my images like people do sold and you know the address and the price and whatever else if you know this I find that it didn't get as many likes as just a good clean image um a beautiful picture um because people like beautiful things that's just how it is and if you can crop the photo to make it large and stand out on the feed rather than just like a small little house you can crop it so it's more it's a larger photo that will actually get noticed more and you can get more likes when you do video I always feel that it should be an emotion mind like I'm very picky with music my I drive my video like that's because I'm just like no wrong song wrong music it has to be and it has to be that build up so it has to be that kind of slow start to the video and then there's that scene and then boom it drops in there and then that's when you feel like it's a motion like wow like this is cool and if the video doesn't give me that then it's probably not going to give the viewer that and it's probably not going to make an impact on buyers or anyone else so make sure that your video content has that wow like that that wow fountain so I mean I love that however let's jump into the power of collaboration yes there's also a lot of elements and I remember you also talking about the collaboration with some dealerships and yeah some collaboration and I've seen that in your video so how important has been for you the collaborations it's huge it's huge from the local dealerships Ferrari Bentley I'm shut up to Bentley and Ferrari Vancouver thank you guys there's huge supporters Porsche Vancouver and Aston Martin Vancouver they've all been great and what that does is it just kind of adds a little something to it does that there's the car sell the home no but in photos it can sometimes fill that space that grey space in the driveway so it kind of fills that space in and kind of makes it visually more attractive but even collaborations with friends like you agents across the globe thanks to luxury listings we haven't become friends with the guys like Mauricio and James and David from the agency yourself already not only with local dealerships but also social media powerhouses and agents across the globe because it's been it's been a second part to our business that has helped us help us grow our business but primarily the industry here is funny like there's a big difference in LA and we're kind of our market is a little bit LA a little bit New York to kind of put in perspective where we have like the beaches and the fun and the outdoor dining of the palm trees in this game is great lifestyle centered around the ocean for us as well with the boats and the odds and I'm hopping though I'm kind of like Miami too no and this summer we go to restaurants on the islands and beaches and places that what meets up so we have that lifestyle here totally so but without the East Coast in the sense of the business sense so a lot of mining a lot of mining companies here in Vancouver a lot of tech is growing a lot of lawyers it's a finest game here is big so we have this kind of we don't have like the young I don't want to say that the young money that LA has you know where I can show up in a ball cap and running shoes and so we have to find that balance between you know like the clients that we deal with typically in these in these homes are incredibly educated very sophisticated so we have to kind of match that you know with that regard to that high level professionalism front of them so we do attract a lot of Vancouver definitely and the lifestyle here we're only about an hour door to door to Whistler which is like our aspen and that's one of the most popular places in the world to go because it's the closest to an airport than any other I think Aspen is like a four-hour drive from the airport unless it's a PJ but so Whistler is incredible so we've got the lifestyles outdoors it's skiing it's boating it's the beaches it's the business it's a lot of time I mean you're selling it right then and then I'm doing it's okay I know and then I go see one of your videos I'm like okay I mean what else yeah I definitely encourage everybody to check out DJ's page I mean it's beautiful properties that you have for phenomenal and the way that you promote them you know it's a little bit extra compared to what we've seen so far which is the airport that you put into it what makes it so special now you work with some of the most incredible homes and I love that one of your sentences is marketing our cities most finest homes you know and and I like the world marketing because it's not just selling it's actually marketing them is you're promoting them so you've been you've been connecting the dots when it comes to the luxury lifestyle I'm working with what you said very high-end clientele so you've seen a little bit of entire lifestyle but when it comes to luxury what is really luxury to you so to me it's very simple it's a service it's not just a price tag it's actually in our pitch box so luxury is not nearly a price tag it's a it's a level of service trust and for me it was funny when we this came to Nick and I we were in a meeting with a PR guy here in Vancouver and people always referred to when we were growing up in the industry older age luxuries referred to things by cars no this is a Bentley but this is a rule of voice or something you know he's always compared to cars the car comparison was always kind of used here in London we did that in this meeting and he stopped us and he said and we were young we were just starting out in the industry here he stopped us he said why do you keep saying cars as you go to the service industry like okay you should be comparing you should be comparing your service to more of like a hotel you know maybe perhaps like the western which is a great company which is fantastic but there's a difference between the western and the four seasons so you should be looking to service your clients and given that the experience and the same results that you would expect when you go to the four seasons and that's the rest really changed our mindset everything we do from these pens and yeah we stick with everything from what we used to go to before docuSigned these to go to homes and you know we have a nice pen and we make sure we have a nice paper and so everything the entire experience we do this one thing I got it from which makes a big difference I think I thought about a club I was on entourage remember Ari was Ari just signed Zac Efron and he was going to avoid Lloyd Lloyd yeah send Zac as Zac just signed up so send him some jetsky's as a signing gift and it clicked I was just like wow a signing gift because we get closing but what if we started off our experience and with a level of service by when the listing goes live saying about being beautiful like luxury packed with beautiful wine and etc etc so when the listing goes live this beautiful package shows up to the house to start the relationship off and then when it finishes of course get the closing gift as well so always looking to better know what that's amazing it's all about the experience and the service so that's a good way to define luxury yeah totally when it comes to a DJ dinner I mean you have had a very successful career so far what's next um what's next gosh I don't know like it's like I said like not to sound cliche or cheesy but it's really is the dream job it's the craziest feeling um I think what I'd like to do for me is just continue on the path to to listing like there's all these in Vancouver and I'm sure my young is one everywhere they're incredible homes that we wouldn't even know about you know there's there's there are custom homes that were not built specification that are just these incredible problems that are tucked away we have no idea for my goal is to grow to a point to be the one that gets that call so that's kind of me so same within the industry obviously but getting to the point where I can ensure that when that when that seller wants to sell that asset I'm at the top list for call because that's one thing I'm growing towards and then being a new dad is also being the best dad possible because oh congratulations thank you well very excited for your future I mean it seems very exciting the way that you've managed to do it that continues to grow in this year so I'm a big fan of what you're doing that really looking forward to meet
