Sligo Councillor says infrastructure announcement is more government propaganda

Sligo Councillor has blasted yesterday's infrastructure announcement as spin doctoring of the highest order by the government. The announcement confirmed that a number of key local road projects are set to be under construction by 2030 with Funding secured and plans are being finalised to advance the construction of the N17 from Knock to Collooney, the Eastern Garavogue Bridge and the Carrick on Shannon by-pass. The report also claimed that the N15 from Sligo to the county boundary is also being advanced through the different stages from appraisal, planning and design to construction. Sligo Councillor Michael Clarke says it's unbelievable that the government can make promises for 2030 considering their term in office ends in 2029.
