Sligo Councillor suggests controversial changes to rail services in Sligo and Leitrim

from Ocean FM News Reports

A Sligo Councillor says running trains directly from the likes of Sligo and Carrick-on-Shannon Railway stations to Dublin Connolly would significantly reduce the travel time the service currently takes. Independent Councillor Marie Casserly believes if parking was increased at these stations commuters would be happy to bypass the likes of Ballymote, Boyle Collooney and Dromod stations in order to avail of faster travel times. Speaking to Ocean FM news the former general election candidate says reducing travel is equally as important as providing extra trains on the Sligo to Dublin route.
