A Sligo Councillor says those struggling to secure accommodation could be forgiven for thinking that the government has given up on trying to solve the housing crisis if the best they can provide is provide tips on how to move back in with your parents.The comments from Councillor Gino O Boyle come as the government has defended a now-deleted video shared by the Department of Housing advising young people on how to cope with moving back in with their parents.The video offering tips such as setting house rules, paying rent, doing chores, and managing potential conflicts while living at home.The People Before Profit Councillor says the optics of such a video in the middle of house crisis is far from ideal.
