Sligo Councillor welcomes safety works at Aughamore

A Sligo Councillor has claimed that the currently road safety improvement works that are underway at the Aughamore-Walsh in Sligo will help top reduce the likelihood of a serious accident taking place at the location.  Inside the last week commenced on safety works at a dangerous junction at Aughamore. Cllr Thomas Walsh says the junction located along the R287 is extremely dangerous and safety issues have been raised in relation to it for a number of years. €25,000 was allocated for the works earlier this year Cllr Walsh say work will focus on improving sight lines on the L-36025 leading to the Holywell and on the L-3603 leading to Ballisodare.
