There are renewed calls to resist the introduction of fracked gas in Ireland. The new EU-US trade deal has led to fresh concerns over the issue, with American President Donald Trump indicating a lack of interest in investment in renewable energy. While earlier this month, a group of Leitrim activists took part in a rally outside Leinster House, in opposition to Liquefied Natural Gas infrastructure being developed in Ireland joined a rally outside Dáil Éireann.
