Sligo TD pays tribute to the late Jim Higgins

Tributes are being paid today to the former Sligo teacher, Principal and President of the INTO, Jim Higgins. Mr Higgins who was a native of Culfadda, Co. Sligo served as Principal of Ardkeeran National School in Riverstown, County Sligo. He held the positions President and Vice President of the Irish National Teachers' Organisation. Sligo Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon says the later Mr Higgins leaves a last education legacy in Sligo and beyond
