They sometimes say he’s a veteran (he’s not, he’s only been a solo artist for 5 or so years). We've read that he’s enigmatic (he's not really, he’s very friendly, just unconcerned with hype). Apparently he makes 'Soulful House' (he sometimes does, but not 'soulful' in inverted commas, and he’s just as likely to be making disco or techno, or even hip hop... He's 1/2 of our favourite discovery this year Pan Amsterdam). He’s certainly always busy! In between the recent launch of his new edits label “Hot Peas N Butter”, and his upcoming sophomore solo album "Non Zero Sum Game" (due in mid October on his own Shadeleaf Music), 'monkz takes time out to drop us a guest mix somewhere in between the rare and the raw, filled with everything from disco steppers to analogue footworkers.
